O'AHU, HAWAII: HGTV's new home renovation series 'Renovation Aloha' is all set to release on February 20, 2024, at 9/8c. Episodes will air every Tuesday night following the premiere week.
Kamohai Kalama is a real estate pro and his wife Tristyn Kalama takes on the home renovations and designs.
The show will feature married couple Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama who will take worn-down houses and transform them into beautiful houses.
The couple is all set to take house-flipping projects across the island of Oahu, Hawaii, the most restrictive and difficult location for house-flipping in the country.
The couple are born and raised on the island and thus they feel it as a need to save the culture of the island and uphold its lost heritage. They can also rely on getting help from their large extended family which includes around 87 cousins involved in the construction industry itself.
Kamohai Kalama stated to HGTV, "In the family we have contractors, cabinet makers, and garbage collectors. We have someone to help with every aspect of our business. We will be able to witness some of the interactions between their cousins and them in the show. The couple tries to fix all the properties that they can and does not like to discriminate. If the house isn’t falling, then it’s fixable."
They even have a special tradition after every house renovation they gather their family in the new home and Komohai's dad blesses the house by playing songs on his ukulele.
What is the HGTV series 'Renovation Aloha' all about?
The series would feature the personal and professional life of the married couple and home renovators Kamohai and Tristyn who will try and give life to the run-down properties on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
In the first episode according to the synopsis released by HGTV, the couple will take a tour of a rundown property in Kalihi Valley, north of Honolulu. After a glance, they see that the building has a termite infestation, rotting foundation, and even piles of trash heaped up inside the property.
The property also had a few trees growing through the roof, thus basically the house was in a bad condition. Tristyn and Kamohai will try their best to renovate the unlivable property and turn it into a paradise.
The future episodes will feature the couple at work in the family business renovating and putting the properties to sell. They will also face challenges such as weather, unforeseen costs, and even strict deadlines.

'Renovation Aloha' is all set to release on HGTV on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 9/8c. New episodes will be released every Tuesday on HGTV.
