What is 'Married At First Sight' about?
The show debuted in 2014 and chronicled the journey of people who were looking to find love and wouldn't flinch from marrying an absolute stranger quite literally at first sight.
The partners are paired by relationship experts and the contestants are expected to place their complete trust in the selection process. The contestants meet for the first time on the very day that they get married, and spend the night in a hotel.
They are then filmed for eight weeks following the show's format and then eventually sent off for their honeymoon, by the end of which they must make the final decision whether they wish to remain married or go about their separate ways.
