'Love Island UK' Season 13 is set to premiere sooner than expected but with a casting twist
‘Love Island’ 2026 is all set to return with more drama, challenges, and conflicts. The Sun exclusively reported that Peacock’s upcoming series is scheduled to return with Season 13 on Monday, June 1. The wait is almost over for those who have been eagerly anticipating the new installment. In just a few weeks, a new batch of Islanders will join 'Love Island UK' to find their potential romantic connections. Additionally, the new season will feature Maya Jama returning to the villa as the host.
Generally, a new ‘Love Island’ season premieres by the end of June. However, a source told The Sun, “After an explosive All Stars where the drama just kept on coming, bosses are keen to keep the ball rolling and head into the summer series full throttle.” On January 26, 2026, the show’s Instagram page shared an update regarding the casting process. The post invited interested singles to apply to be part of the next season of the show. It was captioned, “All future Islanders please step to the front because applications for Series 13 are now open!” Furthermore, The Sun's source said, “They’re talking to some of the most gorgeous and entertaining Islanders yet because it all comes down to the cast.”
On April 24, 2026, The Sun reported that the upcoming season will feature international cast members as well. Long-time fans must remember how Toni Laites joined the reality show’s cast as an outsider, but with her charming personality and bonds in the villa, she won 'Love Island UK' Season 12. Despite being the first participant from the US on the UK version of the show, Toni won fans' hearts and was crowned the winner alongside her partner in the villa, Cach Mercer. Witnessing this, the makers reportedly began the casting process across the globe, including in Canada, Australia, and more. There's currently no information about the cast of Season 13, but viewers will soon be introduced to the male and female Islanders looking for love.
Speaking about the release date, the publication was told, “Everything looks set for kick off June 1st all being well with plans.” The source also revealed that Maya Jama will be helping the cast navigate their potential connections. While an official announcement from the makers is currently awaited, fans will soon witness more friendships and romantic connections forming in the villa from June 1, 2026, onwards on ‘Love Island UK’ Season 13.
