'Enola Holmes 3' sneak peek teases massive romantic arc for Millie Bobby Brown's character
Netflix dropped a major update on Millie Bobby Brown's 'Enola Holmes 3'. The mystery film's latest sneak peek from the streamers' 2026 content slate teased a surprise proposal from Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), who was featured in the previous movies.
The sneak peek sees Tewkesbury down on one knee and a shocked Enola sitting on the bed. The quick clip promises a major romantic arc for Brown's character after the Stranger Things' star has previously teased what was in store for Enola. A very different Enola Holmes that you're going to be able to see," Brown had said per ScreenRant, while adding, "You asked for romance, so we'll give you romance."
According to Tudum, "The latest installment in the adventures of the young detective sees her tackling another mystery, this time on the island nation of Malta. You’ll have to wait and see what brings her there — but once she’s arrived, Enola is flung into a nest of vipers. As the private detective juggles a new case and the next stages of her relationship with Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), the game is truly afoot."
Along with Brown and Patridge, the cast includes Himesh Patel as Dr. John Watson, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty. There is no release date at the time of writing.
Earlier, Cavill had spoken of what was in store for his character in the future films. "I think ‘How is there hope for him?’ would be answered in any future movies were they to happen,” Cavill told The Wrap. “There’s always whisperings of this sort of things, but nothing is ever official until you enter the first day of shooting, and even then, until you finish shooting, and even then it has to come out. Right now, that’s a that’s all it brings but I don’t know of anything official just yet. He further added, "This universe is very much Enola’s, so she’ll always be involved. I think it’s important to make that connection between the two characters."
"I think Enola has a lot to teach Sherlock, certainly about the world he’s living in, even though he may have an awareness of the lack of fairness of the world, especially when it comes to women living in the world, he is not even close to understanding what it’s like,” Cavill said, when asked of how the characters operated as their own personalities.
'Enola Holmes 3' will premiere in 2026 on Netflix.
