NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Prepare to hit the dance floor in celebration of Bravo's new series, 'Dancing Queens'. The show follows six ballroom dancers as they prepare to compete in tournaments around the country, and it contains a winning combination of dedication and drama.

Bravo is on its way to the ballroom. The first teaser for the new show 'Dancing Queens' revealed six amateur ballroom dancers who would go to any length to compete in Pro-Am 'World of Dance' events around the country. "Everyone has a hobby," one cast member teases in a voice-over, "but ours costs six figures a year." These girls are devoted to becoming — and appearing — the finest on the dance floor, from spending top bucks for the greatest dancing teachers to going all out on bedazzled costumes, hair, and cosmetics.

When will 'Dancing Queens' release?

How to watch 'Dancing Queens'?

'Dancing Queens' will air weekly on Tuesday at 9 pm ET on Bravo. New episodes of the series will be available to watch the next day on the streaming platform Peacock.

Who stars in 'Dancing Queens'?

Sabrina Strasser, Pooja Mehta, Leonie Biggs, Galle Benchetrit, Donie Burch, and Colette Marotto are six extremely gifted amateur dancers who will go to any length to achieve prestige and distinction in the realm of Pro-Am dance contests.

Sabrina Strasser

Sabrina, a stay-at-home mom from Toronto, Canada, is torn between her dancing and her family life. Sabrina is in a rocky on-again, off-again relationship with her pro dancer, Stanislav Kochergin, but the two are back together and Sabrina is eager to win the competition. Her desire to win consumes her time and energy, often at the expense of her children and husband, who are concerned that Sabrina's pastime would divert focus away from their family life.

Pooja Mehta

Pooja, a cosmetics artist with a flourishing beauty company, is a self-described renegade from a family of physicians. In Scottsdale, Arizona, she and her husband are raising their two children with a blend of Jewish and Hindu customs. Pooja, her mother, and her sister all dance with Colette's ex-professional partner, Kristijan Burazer. Previously a rhythm champion, she recently switched to Latin to compete alongside her family and show that she can succeed in their category as well.

Leonie Biggs

Leonie is a perfectionist from Haworth, New Jersey, who refuses to accomplish anything until she can be the greatest at it. She juggles her life as a wife and mother with her high-powered work in finance. Leonie has a new pro partner this dancing season, Koysta Samarskyi, which adds stress, doubt, and more hours of practice before she feels ready to compete. She is fiercely competitive and feels the pressure to be a championship ballroom dancer and beat out the other ladies for first place.

Galle Benchetrit

Galle was building a reputation for herself in the ballroom scene before her recent pregnancy caused her to take a break. She's excited to get back on the dance floor and prove that she's better than ever. Her partner, Nino Langella, is one of the world's finest professional dancers and the envy of other women.

Donie Burch

Donie has been dancing her entire life and studied dance performance in college. This top performer and her partner, Iliah Vinikovskiy, are keen to persuade the judges that she is one of the country's greatest dancers. Donie is concerned that the judges are judging her beauty rather than her talent because she does not have a "typical" dancer's figure. Donnie is currently single, and her fixation with dance limits her options for finding a companion off the floor.

Colette Marotto

Colette has a lot of stress in her life as a company owner from Scottsdale, AZ, and a single mother to a boy with special needs, and dancing helps her to focus on herself and forget about her duties. Her pro dance partner recently left her to compete with Pooja, causing her to find a new pro, Oleksiy "Alex" Pigotskyy, and start again. Her breakup in the ballroom caused tension between the ladies and fueled Colette's desire to be further dancing successfully in order to show her former pro that she can win without him.

What is 'Dancing Queens' about?

Bravo's new docuseries 'Dancing Queens' takes viewers to the dance floor with six fearless and talented women as they prepare to compete in ballroom competitions around the country. Colette, Donie, Galle, Leonie, Pooja, and Sabrina are tracked as they pour their time and money into their all-consuming love of competing for top positions, respect, and recognition in the world of Pro-Am dance contests.

Pro-Am pairs amateur dancers with professional partners. These extremely accomplished amateur dancers spend tens of thousands of dollars on their hair, makeup, and clothing, not to mention the costs of their professional partners' practice, travel, and competition.

From stay-at-home moms to company owners and finance executives, these women set aside their lives and negotiate time away from their children to dance. They keep their cool in the ballroom, but behind the scenes, the ladies are eager to undermine their rivals in the spirit of rivalry, even if it means snatching pro-partners. These dancers are all obsessed with winning at whatever cost.

What is the latest buzz around 'Dancing Queens'?

You may have heard the names waltz, tango, foxtrot, cha-cha, swing, and rumba before, but ballroom dancing is much more than spins, dips, and footwork. The new Bravo series 'Dancing Queens' follows a group of six ladies who convert their eternal love of dancing into a vicious battle.

What distinguishes ballroom dancing is that it is always performed with a partner, which is where the name "Pro-Am" comes into play, referring to a professional dancer coupled with an amateur dancer. Colette, Donie, Gaelle, Leonie, Pooja, and Sabrina, on the other hand, are far from inexperienced. They've met via ballroom dancing contests and become buddies. They also spend thousands of dollars every year — often in the six figures — on hair, cosmetics, clothing, and travel expenses for their professional partners in order for them to practice, travel, and compete.

'Dancing Queens' will also expose what happens after the heels and sequins come off, as these women's fixation with winning takes the front stage.  If you thought the women in 'Dance Moms' were weird, wait till you see this.

Sabrina doesn't mind "sounding like a porn star to win," while Leonie enjoys being "the best at things." Donie, another cast member, becomes upset while discussing her appearance, and Pooja defines herself as a "rebel."

Galle will undoubtedly be one of the show's most intriguing characters. She had been building a reputation for herself in the dance scene in recent years when she became pregnant. She had only recently returned to the industry. Will we witness Nino Langella, who is romantically related to her, go through the motions of their relationship?

Sabrina is also in a relationship with a professional dancer, although she and Stanislav have had several breakups. Could other women's willingness to abduct professionals from the dancing spill over into their actual lives? That would make for some interesting television.

Mirror ball champion Val Chmerkovskiy appears in the trailer as well, guiding cast member Donie through what looks to be a difficult moment. Though the trailer does not include Val's answer, the first-time father — who had a son, Rome Valentin, with his wife Jenna Johnson in January — appears worried and eager to provide Donie guidance.

Tune in on Tuesday, May 9, at 9 pm ET on Bravo to watch the season premiere of 'Dancing Queens'.
