'Luis just got exposed!' Internet slams 'RHONJ' star's faux pas on camera, dubs him 'phony'

NEW JERSEY: During the May 2 episode of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey', Luis Ruelas and Teresa Giudice discussed not wanting to invite Joe and Melissa Gorga to an upcoming event during a "hot mic" moment. Viewers reacted quickly as Teresa is shown panicking when Luis accidentally blinds Joe and Melissa on camera.

Joe and Melissa chose not to attend Teresa's wedding after the three had a brawl while filming Season 13 of Bravo's program. According to one source, Joe and Melissa planned to attend the wedding until the Thursday before the August 2022 ceremony. When false rumors about their marriage surfaced during filming, they changed their minds. According to the insider, the Gorgas skipped the ceremony due to Teresa's involvement in the crisis and Luis' behavior. According to another source, Joe and Melissa's choice was motivated by a wish to shield themselves from Teresa's insults throughout the years. Teresa also hinted at why Joe and Melissa skipped the wedding in an August 2022 episode of her 'Namaste B&tches' podcast, stating, "You'll see it the way it plays out on TV, so I can't really say much on that." Looks like the fans witnessed little more than Teresa wanted them to see.

'You know the cameras are on?'

Teresa like to portray herself as the innocent party in her long-running rivalry with brother Joe and sister-in-law Melissa, but a "hot mic" moment on the May 2 episode of 'RHONJ' may have shown how she, too, is responsible for family strife. Teresa's then-fiance Luis contacted her about an impending dinner he was preparing for their group of friends when she and two of her kids were on their way to her surprise wedding shower. Luis was only looking to check a few specifics, so he indicated that they were inviting everyone "except Melissa and Joe."

"I'm not inviting them," he stated flatly. But before he could finish, Teresa grabbed him off speakerphone and questioned, "You know the cameras are on, and we're filming, right?" "Oh s***... okay," was all he could say. Clearly, he was caught on tape saying something Teresa didn't want him to say because. However, it was not a good look.

"If you invite [people], you have to invite everyone. You can’t just do some and not the others," she told him, but it was difficult to know if it was actually how she felt or just something she was saying because Luis was captured on tape discussing an alternative plan - one that included them not inviting Joe and Melissa.

In the car with Teresa, Milania Giudice inquired as to "why" Joe and Melissa would be invited, to which Teresa replied, "When you’re upset and angry, that takes more energy. To be happy feels good."

"I don’t like to tell the kids everything that’s going on with my brother and Melissa, unless I have to tell them," she said in a private confession. "There’s no reason to tell them anything right now. The wedding’s a week away, I’m so close to my happily ever after."

'Louie will be the demise of Teresa'

While capturing the scene, an angry fan tweeted, "Teresa and Luis get caught not inviting Joe or Melissa. Olive branch my a*s."

Speaking  of how Luis got exposed on camera, one viewer tweeted, "LUIS JUST GOT EXPOSED! I ALWAYS KNEW HIS SNAKE ASS “KUMBAYA” PERSONA WAS FRAUDULENT! He was LOUD and CLEAR that he does not like Melissa, so he needs to stop faking it and wanting “peace”." Calling him phony, another person tweeted, "Luis ain't sh!t. On camera he tries to act like the peacemaker . Off camera he's a straight- up b!tch-azz. Trying to divide a family more, that's already fractured. He's so phony." Summing up the situation, one fan predicted, "After Luis gets done using Teresa he will say: 1. Teresa you WANTED this. 2. You BEGGED me to take you away from your brother and sister-in-law 3. You need help. And I can’t heal you. 4. This is your second failed marriage. Maybe the problem is you." While another fan felt, "I feel like it was staged. Like Teresa told him to call and say he’s not inviting Melissa and Joe so she can say “it wasn’t me! It was Luis’ decision!”"

Calling out on his act, one viewer tweeted, "And there it is “I’m inviting everyone except Melissa and Joe, I am not inviting them” Louis. Tre “You know the camera’s on right?” Louis “Oh shit okay.” #RHONJ It’s all an act- Louis is a joke." Another person chimed in, "Louie cutting Joe & Melissa out of the dinner with the rest of the cast. Isn't this what M&J wanted? If you reject enough, invites this is what you get! Louie is tired of playing nice." One fan tweeted, "So when the cameras aren’t rolling Louie and Teresa are excluding Melissa & Joe but when the cameras are on they’re being inclusive towards them?" A fan felt, "Louie will be the demise of Teresa and Teresa will blame it on Joe and Melissa."
