Having concluded five intense audition rounds, the ABC show has advanced over 70 talented contestants to Hollywood Week. In the upcoming episode, Golden Ticket winners will take the stage, vying for the judges' votes to secure their spot in the next round.
As the standout performers strive to progress beyond Hollywood Week, they must elevate their performances with each round to ultimately secure a coveted spot in the semi-finals of the ABC show. What happened in 'American Idol' Season 22 Episode 5?
'American Idol' Season 22 judges, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, jetted off to their hometowns, Santa Barbara, California, Leesburg, Georgia, and Tuskegee, Alabama in search of raw talents in the last week of auditions. They also visited Los Angeles and Nashville in search of the most talented aspiring singers.
Additionally, during the last round of auditions, the judges awarded their third Platinum Ticket to Julia Gagnon. Before this, Odell Bunton Jr and Abi Carter had also impressed the judges with their vocals and secured Platinum Tickets. Meanwhile, Ricky Moyer surprised the judges with his audition on 'It Must Have Been Love'. Liliana Tovar Dalton, Sophia Ava Marie, Brant McCollough, Carmen Olivia, and Garrison Bennett moved to the Hollywood week with three yeses.
'The Bachelor' fame star Juan Pablo Galavis's daughter Camila Galavis, also received the Golden Ticket but Lionel was not on board to advance her.
