Okay, deep breath, because the blue-and-yellow suit is almost back. After what feels like a very long time, ‘Invincible’ has finally popped back onto the radar in a big way. Prime Video has released the first official images from Season 4 of the animated superhero hit. And things are about to get louder, bloodier, and more dangerous for Mark Grayson. The newly released images give fans their best look at what’s coming next. Mark appears bruised and very much still learning that saving the world rarely comes with a clean landing. Returning faces pop up quickly. Omni-Man looms large as always. Allen the Alien is right back in play.

Furthermore, Shapesmith also sneaks into the frame. The Guardians of the Globe are present, standing tall even as the weight of what’s ahead hangs in the air. Then come the villains. The most-discussed shots are probably the first looks at Grand Regent Thragg and Dinosaurus. These are the two names comic readers know very well, and everyone else is about to learn quickly. Thragg, voiced by Lee Pace, carries a menace that doesn’t rely on showy posing. And Dinosaurus, voiced by Matthew Rhys, looks exactly like the kind of problem that doesn’t get solved with a single punch.

That's not all: Universa (Danai Gurira) will also make an entrance in the upcoming season, per Animation Magazine. It's as if  Season 4 is going to be the point where everything Mark has learned gets tested at once. Mark Grayson, still voiced by Steven Yeun, remains at the center of it all, but he’s no longer standing alone. Supporting him are Atom Eve and the Guardians of the Globe. The images suggest that teamwork will matter more than ever. One of ‘Invincible’s’ weapons has always been its voice cast, and Season 4 keeps that tradition alive. In addition to Yeun, J.K. Simmons returns as Nolan, Seth Rogen as Allen, and Gillian Jacobs continues voicing Atom Eve.

The wider cast includes Sandra Oh, Walton Goggins, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Zachary Quinto, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Clancy Brown, Jay Pharoah, Mark Hamill, and Melise. Behind the scenes, Skybound Animation Studio continues steering the ship. Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Catherine Winder, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg are guiding the series forward.

In case you didn't know, Season 4 of ‘Invincible’ is set to stream only on Prime Video in March, according to IGN. While the release window is set, a specific premiere date hasn’t been announced yet. The newly released images help bridge the gap after the brief teaser that dropped back in October. It offers reassurance that the wait is paying off. Slowly. But still. Meanwhile, all three previous seasons of ‘Invincible’ are currently available to stream on Prime Video, and Season 5 has also already been announced.
