What is 'They Cloned Tyrone' about?
'They Cloned Tyrone' is a sci-fi comedy movie with a pulpy, caper-like feel. The story revolves around a trio of unlikely characters who investigate a series of strange occurrences that lead them to uncover a nefarious conspiracy lurking within their community. After being shot dead by his rival, Isaac, a neighborhood drug dealer named Fontaine is shocked to wake up unharmed in his bed the next morning. Along with his friends, Slick Charles and Yo-Yo, Fontaine sets out to uncover the truth behind his resurrection. Eventually, they discover a vast underground complex where a government-backed lab is conducting experiments on the local Black population. Fontaine realizes that he is an artificial clone controlled by Nixon, causing him to feel despair initially, but he ultimately decides to stand up against the White institutional overlords for the sake of his neighborhood.
