LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Since the conclusion of the 'Star Wars' sequel trilogy, John Boyega has continued to work on various projects, including his award-winning performance in the limited series 'Small Axe' and the crime comedy, 'Naked Singularity'. In 2022, he previously appeared in a series of impressive films, including the thriller drama 'Breaking' and the historical action drama 'The Woman King'. Boyega's upcoming project, Netflix's 'They Cloned Tyrone', is a departure from his previous roles, as it ventures into the realm of science-fiction comedy.

'Cloned Tyrone' is an interesting science-fiction thriller film directed by Juel Taylor and co-written by him and Tony Rettenmaier. The film features an ensemble cast that includes John Boyega, Jamie Foxx, and Teyonah Parris in lead roles. The film is produced by Macro, the production company behind acclaimed films like 'Mudbound' and 'Fences'.

When will 'They Cloned Tyrone' release?

Initially slated for a late 2022 release, the R-rated sci-fi comedy film, 'They Cloned Tyrone', will now arrive on Netflix on July 21, 2023, according to confirmed reports.

How to watch 'They Cloned Tyrone'? 

As of now, there are no plans for a theatrical release of 'They Cloned Tyrone'. The film will be exclusively available for streaming on Netflix and will not be released in cinemas.

On September 24, 2022, the first trailer for 'They Cloned Tyrone' was released. The trailer begins with a scene featuring Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx's characters in an elevator, holding guns. However, the tone quickly shifts to a lighthearted moment as Parris and Foxx's characters break into singing Mary J Blige's 'I'm Goin' Down'. The trio is then seen breaking into a scientific facility, uncovering a conspiracy that endangers a Black neighborhood with experiments, kidnappings, and surveillance. Along with the serious mystery at the heart of the movie, the trailer promises plenty of laughs along the way as the main trio's dynamic shines through. Check it out below.
