What is the plot of 'Love & Death'?

'Love & Death' tells the true story of Candy Montgomery, a Texas wife and mother accused of murdering her friend Betty Gore, with whom her husband Allan was having an affair.

Despite Candy being found holding the murder weapon, she was acquitted on the grounds of self-defense. The shocking verdict spurred widespread fascination and debate for years, and the upcoming series promises to explore the events in detail. This marks the second project in recent years to cover the tragic story, following Hulu's 'Candy'.
