Carrington Rodriguez accused of dating co-star Laurel Goldman only for fame

Carrington found himself under the scrutiny of fans who accused him of engaging in a 'showmance' with co-star Laurel Goldman during their time on the TV show, only to end their relationship once the cameras stopped rolling.

Their split in December 2020 left fans questioning Carrington's intentions, with some believing he used Laurel for fame.

Addressing the matter in an Instagram Live conversation with fellow co-star Johnny Middlebrooks, Carrington clarified, "We were talking, right? We weren't boyfriend and girlfriend. And that's fine, we knew each other for two-and-half weeks out of the show. We gave it an honest effort and it didn't work."

He expressed his support for Laurel and stated that he would have no issues if she found a boyfriend in the future.

When a fan commented that Laurel deserved better, Carrington responded in a light-hearted manner saying, "Hey, it's hard to find someone better than me." After their split, Carrington and Laurel unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Laurel has moved on and is in a relationship with boyfriend Bryce, whom she's been dating since 2021. Her Valentine's Day post in 2023 featured her and Bryce, showcasing their love.

In contrast, Carrington appears to still be riding solo on the relationship front, hinting at the diverse romantic paths both 'Love Island' stars have taken post-show.

Carrington Rodriguez broke up with Kierstan Saulter over political differences

The 'Love Island' rollercoaster took a twist when Carrington and Kierstan decided to part ways.

While the show portrayed that Carrington found Kierstan too fond of partying, eagle-eyed fans suspected that their political differences might have played a more significant role.

During Casa Amor, Carrington coupled up with Laurel Goldman, marking the beginning of the end for Carrington and Kierstan's romantic journey.

Some 'Love Island' enthusiasts even speculated that political disparities were a contributing factor. Carrington's support for the Black Lives Matter movement appeared to be in contrast with Kierstan's potential political leanings.
