DIXON, KENTUCKY: Amanda Halterman, a fan-favorite on TLC's '1000-lb Sisters,' recently disclosed her profession on TikTok after being asked about her livelihood. She revealed she drove a school bus and has been doing that for almost 10 years.

In Season 5 of '1000-lb Sisters,' Amanda's sister, Amy, goes through the challenging process of ending her marriage to Michael Halterman.

During this difficult time, Amy leaned on her older sister, Amanda, for support. However, tensions rose between Amanda and Michael when Amanda discovered that he had taken Amy's debit card.

A confrontation ensued, with Amanda demanding, "Give her her money!" and Michael responding defiantly.

Amanda threatened to call the police, and Amy joined the conversation.

Amanda warned, "He's got two seconds to get his stuff and get out of my house." The situation between the two nearly escalated into a physical altercation.

In June 2023, Halterman took to her TikTok page and shared more about her lifestyle and the impact of the show '1000-lb Sisters' on her life.

Soon after, she responded to the user by saying, "One thing that my grandmother and my mother instilled in me... to live like I'm broke."

The TV personality continued, "I do not live above my means. I'm not rich, by no means, but I'm gonna be just fine. I was doing just fine without the show, so the money I make off the show, that's not even budgeted. I don't even put that in my budget, because I don't live off the show. Because that show is not forever."

She added, "I work my a** off doing what I've got to do to make sure my bills are paid. I like that you did say that, because if people lived every day as if it were a rainy day then a lot of us would probably be a lot better off."

Amanda concluded, "Obviously it's nice to get a little bit of money from the show and have a little nest egg, but when the show ends it doesn't really matter that much to me."
