He, alongside co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, warned ‘Today’ viewers about extreme heat waves across the country that is not expected to go anytime soon.

During Monday morning's episode of the ‘Today’ show, co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie delved into the topic of an ongoing heat wave, which has been setting new temperature records. Over the weekend, the scorching weather set more than 50 new high-temperature records. Hoda emphasized that approximately 30 million people across 11 states are currently under heat alerts due to the soaring temperatures. As the heat continues to linger, it poses an increasing threat of heat-related emergencies. Seeking further insights, Hoda and Savannah turned to Roker, who warned the viewers, “It’s gonna be expanding." He pointed out several locations that experienced their highest temperatures ever recorded in July. He cautioned, “As you can see, it's not going away”. He continued, “It's not going away anytime soon, at least right on through the weekend”.
