NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent ‘Today’ broadcast, TV personality and weather reporter Al Roker warned the viewers about concerning news as he urged them to "stay cool." The weatherman usually discusses the temperature in detail on the morning show.

What did Al Roker warn about?

During Monday morning's episode of the ‘Today’ show, co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie delved into the topic of an ongoing heat wave, which has been setting new temperature records. Over the weekend, the scorching weather set more than 50 new high-temperature records. Hoda emphasized that approximately 30 million people across 11 states are currently under heat alerts due to the soaring temperatures. As the heat continues to linger, it poses an increasing threat of heat-related emergencies. Seeking further insights, Hoda and Savannah turned to Roker, who warned the viewers, “It’s gonna be expanding." He pointed out several locations that experienced their highest temperatures ever recorded in July. He cautioned, “As you can see, it's not going away”. He continued, “It's not going away anytime soon, at least right on through the weekend”. To illustrate the extent of the heat wave, Roker presented a map displaying the forecasted high temperatures that would persist throughout the week ahead.
