And this festive season, streaming platforms are all decked up to provide audiences with a rich selection of shows to binge on. Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ have their festive season releases planned, offering viewers a diverse range of entertainment options to pick from. Here are our picks for the top six shows that you absolutely can't miss this December.

Stranger Things

The much-anticipated fifth season of 'Stranger Things' dropped on November 26, with its first volume. The second volume will be available for streaming on December 25, and the finale will be released on New Year's Eve on Netflix. Titled 'The Rightside Up', the final episode of 'Stranger Things' centers on Eleven's last stand against Vecna as Hawkins is consumed by the Upside Down's influence and placed under military quarantine.

The Abandons

This upcoming Netflix drama about the Old West of 1854 follows two staunch matriarchs in the forms of Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson. While Headey plays an independent and devout Irish widow whose life revolves around her adoptive family of outsiders, Anderson appears on the show as the powerful leader of the Van Ness family, resolute in consolidating their mining claim. The resultant conflict and the strategic warfare between these two forces form the crux of the show. 'The Abandons' drops on Netflix on December 4.

Fallout Season 2

After delivering a major hit with its debut season, over 65 million viewers in its first 16 days, this video game adaptation will return with a brand-new chapter that expands its original storyline. This time, Lucy, the determined vault-dweller, will be heading into the neon-soaked ruins of New Vegas, the wasteland's last thriving metropolis and a longtime favorite among Fallout fans. 'Fallout' Season 2 premieres on December 17 on Prime Video.

Emily in Paris Season 5

Emily and the gang are all set to return on December 18, but this time, in the city of Rome, where a charming new romantic prospect, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), is set to stir up trouble between Lily Collins's Emily and Lucas Bravo's Gabriel. Most reports indicate that Bravo will indeed be back for the show's fifth season, set to premiere on Netflix.

The Copenhagen Test

This spy fiction series follows Alexander Hale (Simu Liu), a brilliant intelligence analyst who suddenly becomes the target of a mysterious mind-hack, one that lets unseen enemies track his every movement and steer his decisions. The first teaser hints at a sleek, cerebral thriller packed with tension and psychological intrigue, positioning Simu Liu's new Peacock series as one of December's standout releases. All eight episodes of The Copenhagen Test Season 1 premiere on Peacock on December 27.

Taylor Swift: The End of an Era

This is a six-part documentary based on behind-the-scenes footage from Swift's 'Eras' tour. Alongside Swift's regular troupe, it will also feature the entire group of guest performers, including Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch. The documentary will premiere on December 12 on Disney+.
