'Welcome to Plathville' Season 5: Olivia Plath refuses to let estranged brother-in-law Micah into her house after 's**t went down'
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Fans and social media followers were not shocked when Ethan and Olivia Plath announced their breakup outside 'Welcome to Plathville'. Even though they make an effort to strengthen their marriage in Season 5, things still aren't working out. It doesn't help that Ethan gets along poorly with his family, especially his younger brother, Micah Plath.
In a teaser clip for the November 14 episode of 'Welcome to Plathville', Ethan tells producers that Olivia prevents Micah from entering their house, but Ethan is yet to tell Micah in such detail. And it's going to create yet another schism, making Ethan's family fearful of losing him.
In the tape, Olivia informs Ethan that she doesn't want him to bring Micah to their house, demonstrating how bad things are between them.
"So you're saying he can't come here at all," Ethan asks Olivia, to which she responds, "No. He can stay somewhere else, but I don't want him here."
Ethan tells producers that he hasn't told Micah about "Olivia's firm decision" yet because he hasn't decided what he wants to do about his brother visiting them in Minnesota. And it is certain to widen the gap much further.
Olivia discusses having Micah over at her place with a friend in another teaser clip aired by TLC on X. Olivia recalls telling Ethan, "Like, look, do whatever, my one thing is, I don't want that brought to where I live."
She emphasizes that she has no objection to Ethan and Micah hanging out outside, but she will not join them since she "can't keep it light and happy". Olivia recalls "s**t went down," and she has to talk about it, and she doesn't want Micah in her space.

What happened between 'Welcome to Plathville' stars Olivia and Micah Plath?
Olivia and Micah had a tight friendship before the conclusion of Season 4, even though Olivia stood firm about limits with Ethan's parents and his younger sister, Moriah Plath. Besides being in-laws, they were excellent friends, and there was a period when Micah, Moriah, Ethan, and Olivia were a tight quartet.
Micah and Olivia drifted apart when Micah moved to Los Angeles to pursue a modeling career amid Ethan and Olivia's ongoing marital problems. Olivia and Ethan were pitted against the rest of the Plath family.
What is 'Welcome to Plathville' star Micah Plath doing now?
Fans want to know more about Micah. He began formally pursuing his ambition of being a model in Los Angeles when he was 22 years old.
In November 2021, he shared a post about moving to Los Angeles, and it seems that he is still there, even if his family is still mostly in Georgia.
He said on Instagram, "As many of you know, I’ve made a big move out to Los Angeles; what an adventure it’s been so far!" He also shared a photo of himself with his family, including Olivia and Ethan Plath.
“From adjusting to gas prices to making friends out here, looking at life with a different perspective, and realizing how small my hometown was, haha. But I really miss these special people! Let @ethan.plath, @moriah.jasper, and @oliviamarieplath [know] I want them to come out to LA soon.”
Micah travels to Georgia to spend time with his relatives. Even though he was a bit of a rebel when he was younger, he talked about it in Season 5.
Micah asserts that he would not have been as rebellious as he was in his adolescence due to Olivia's influence. Olivia's exclusion has made him view his parents differently.
Micah shared pictures of the Plath family's Labor Day getaway in September 2023. The family enjoys delicious meals, fishing, mini golf, and beach time, and Micah is seen kayaking with one of his sisters in the pictures.
