'Welcome to Plathville' Season 5: Olivia cites changing Plath family dynamics as impacting her marriage with Ethan

Ethan and Olivia had a conversation about the possibility of a change occurring in his relationship with his family

CAIRO, GEORGIA: Prior to the Season 5 debut of 'Welcome to Plathville,' both Ethan Plath and Olivia Plath refuted rumors of a romantic relationship. Fans anticipated that the couple would endure some storms, but ultimately survive during the fifth season of their TLC reality program. Unfortunately, such was not the case.

On the November 7 episode of 'Welcome to Plathville' Season 5, Olivia claims that she is "over it" when it comes to Ethan keeping her in the loop about his life. As Ethan tries to smooth it out with his family, Olivia blames the shift in the Plath family relationship dynamic, for affecting their marriage.

In the episode titled, "I Am Not Bound To Please", Olivia visits her pal in Ethan's absence. In front of the camera, she says, "Ethan recently left for a trip down to Georgia, and I've made some new friends in Minneapolis very recently."

Olivia tells her friend, Maya, how Ethan, who's back in Georgia, wants to bring back some "classic cars" to Minneapolis and store them at his grandparents'.

Olivia observes that the pair has "separate lives" and does not spend much time together.

Ethan and Olivia discussed "a shift possibly happening in his relationships with his family." Ethan didn't return their calls or texts for several months. He didn't even see them or have contact with them, but the family has just been reaching out to Ethan.

Ethan seemed to be contemplating the role his family would play in his life now.

Olivia requested that Ethan notify her "before you make plans."

Even though Ethan agreed, he'd later miss talking to Olivia to avoid a phone battle and arrange his own plans.

Did Ethan Plath cheat on 'Welcome to Plathville' star Olivia Plath?

Olivia described her and Ethan's divorce on Instagram, "The partner you choose is a reflection of the world you want to live in, and at 18, I didn't know who I was or what kind of life I wanted to create for myself."

She went on to say that she intends to "honor" the pleasant memories they have. But, apart from evidently growing apart, what is the cause of their split?

In September 2023, someone on Reddit posted images from a pub in Minnesota, claiming that the man in the photos was most likely Ethan. The man is seen dancing with a lady who is not Olivia in the images.

However, there is no proof that the man is Ethan. The area, where Ethan and Olivia went after leaving their house in Florida, appears to be correct.

However, the photographs are too blurry to know for certain.

Micah Plath accuses 'Welcome to Plathville' star Olivia Plath of cheating on Ethan Plath

While there has been much talk about Ethan cheating on Olivia, Ethan's younger brother Micah Plath raised the notion of the contrary in an episode of 'Watch What Happens Live' on Bravo. During the October 30, 2023, episode, host Andy Cohen asked Micah about Ethan cheating on Olivia.

Micah's reaction? "No, I would honestly say it would most likely be the other way around."

Micah didn't go into any more information regarding Olivia's possible cheating on his brother. And he may have just meant that he feels Olivia is more likely to be disloyal than his brother.

However, it's just another rumor circulating around the 'Welcome to Plathville' pair.

'Welcome to Plathville' Season 5 airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC
