Watch Liv Warfield's Golden Buzzer winning moment as 'AGT' Season 19 fans find act 'undeserving'
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Liv Warfield is a vocalist from Chicago, Illinois, who auditioned for 'America's Got Talent' Season 19 on Week 2. As she becomes the first individual to receive a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell, fans at home think the move is needless.
Liv performs a combination of rock and soul. Liv is a full-time performer who has even collaborated with Prince.

"The industry is really hard because things have changed over time, but I continue to push," she stated to Simon.
She had a complete band with her, including saxophones, trombones, and trumpets. Liv captivated the crowd with her first note, demonstrating that she had a one-of-a-kind voice.
On X, however, fans argued, "Not buzzer material!!! Come on!! All screaming, pitchy! Iβm sorry to say.. only my opinion!" While another user chimed in, "Guess I'm @howiemandel tonight. Loved Liv's voice but would have preferred if she sang a song where i could really hear her voice. There's too much going on stage."

One user tweeted, "Sure Liv was good but not great. That was seriously oversold by Simon. But I knew from the opening dialogue she was going to get a kind of DEI" A fourth user wrote, " She was good but not golden buzzer level. I get the sense Simon likes big band fun. He gives a lot of buzzers to them. Still happy for her though."

One fan wrote, "an undeserved golden buzzer. The Taiwanese Rocker was a golden buzzer worthy act. This big band act wasn't. I could not understand the lyrics of her song." Another quipped, "So we got an unexpected voice and a sob story to back it up? that smells like a golden buzzer from a mile away."

Simon Cowell felt getting 'punched in the face' by Liv Warfield's vocals
The crowd and judges are astounded by Liv's remarkable performance.
"I have a big problem -- that wasn't long enough," Simon remarked, adding that he felt "punched in the face, in a good way."
Simon stated he couldn't say yes since he needed to give her the Golden Buzzer!
Who is Liv Warfield in 'AGT' Season 19?
A LiV concert is unlike any other. It's like witnessing Tina Turner, Sade, and James Brown all at once, but she's a completely individual artist. LiV's strong voice and immense stage presence have earned her invitations to play and record alongside music aristocracy such as Prince, Lionel Richie, Cyndi Lauper, and Nancy Wilson.
Liv was raised as the daughter of a deacon at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus in Peoria, Illinois. Her athleticism began to emerge at the age of eight, and she went on to become an Olympic sprinter and All-American gymnast.
When she relocated to Portland, Oregon, to attend college (on a Track & Field scholarship), a buddy introduced her to karaoke, and she gained some popularity as 'Olivia'. She trained five days a week at Portland's Galaxy and Ambassador Lounges.
'AGT' Season 19 contestant Liv Warfield's career took off after performing with Prince
Liv first visited Paisley Park on October 4, 2008. Prince had invited her after hearing an audition tape she had brought in, which was suggested by Marva King, whom she had met a few months before and who was impressed by her singing ability.
She was invited to join The NPG in late 2008 and made her debut with Prince on January 12, 2009 (am) at 'The 77', a semi-public late-night party in Beverly Hills, California. Her first public appearance with Prince occurred two months later, on March 25, 2009, on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
From 2009 to 2012, Liv traveled extensively with Prince and The NPG around Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia.
'America's Got Talent' Season 19 airs on NBC every Tuesday at 8 pm ET.
