'WandaVision' Episode 5 Review: It is Wanda vs Vision in an insane episode that ties with 'X-Men'

'Realization' would be the perfect title for what has been an episode that walks the tightrope with insanity and logic at either end

Spoilers for 'WandaVision' Episode 5

As Marvel's most-watched content inches to a close, the sheer absurdity, audacity, and relentless barrage of Easter eggs only seems to increase. Couple these with some great storytelling, weaving in humor, quirk, and confusion in generous doses, it is no wonder that 'WandaVision' ties for the fifth most-viewed MCU titles with 'Thor: Ragnarok'.  It is a pity these episodes don't come with titles. 'Realization' would be the perfect title for what has been an episode that walks the tightrope with insanity and logic at either end.

Now for the spoilers. Pardon us as we get to ruin the show, but sometimes, things are just too good to resist. Vision (Paul Bettany) has been revived. Callbacks to 'Justice League' when Henry Cavill was resurrected, but this time, the character is different, and so is the circumstance. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) has flipped and is bent on being happy. So much so that she breaks into a  secure SWORD facility that had Vision's corpse.

'WandaVision' Episode 4 Review: Teasers for what's really going on in Westview tie the show to the greater MCU

'WandaVision': Return of Quicksilver, Doctor Strange and more, what are fans predicting about future episodes?

The plaguing question: How was Vision resurrected without the mind stone? This one question also spawns multiple more— Can Wanda create life? Is Wanda the physical manifestation of the Mind Stone? Can Wanda have the power to alter reality? Exhaustive as these questions are, the brains at Marvel Studios have made sure each episode leaves more to be answered, and by the looks of it, there have to be at least two more seasons before the answers finally arrive.

The second massive spoiler is the return of another character: Pietro Maximoff. "What? You didn't see that coming?"

We didn't either. Except, it was the Pietro played by Evan Peters from 'X-Men: Days of the Future Past.' Does this mean, there is an X-men connect? Can Charles Xavier be the man to answer these questions? More questions definitely. Up next, the kids, Billy and Tommy have grown up and somehow it does appear that nobody really questions Wanda of all the developments at Westview. As they shouldn't as the episode says they were all being held hostage and are worried for their lives.

Throw in some Easter eggs. Captain Marvel's name is referred and if all goes according to the theorists on Reddit and Twitter, Carol Danvers might be making a cameo. Except, it does appear there is a beef between the most powerful Avenger (Wanda probably deserves the mantle now) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris).

Right then, to sign off, 'WandVision' provides a few answers and much of the episode centers on the two main characters. With the studios playing the cards close their chest, what happens next is anybody's guess. But for now, this humdinger is another breezy wowza.

'WandaVision' Episode 5 is available for streaming on Disney+.
