With her trump ard taken away from here, Kwon-joo is backed up in a corner.

Detective Derek Jo (Song Seung-heon) is determined to catch the criminal and end his reign of terror. Being the leader of the LAPD unit, there is no room for error in any case; however, something about this situation seems all too familiar.

While the two work together, Kwon-joo is still haunted by the death Do Kang-woo, which results in PTSD. However, as the leader of the emergency 112 call center and with a killer on the loose, this season pushes her to the brink and tests her.

Ma Jin-won is the screenwriter of the series. She has also worked on Part 3 of 'Voice'. Her other works include 'My Wife Is a Gangster 3' and 'Save the Last Dance for Me'.

While working on 'Voice 3', she spoke to Soompi about how she adapted a sexual assault case story for the show and selected crime scenarios, seeing that the series deals with very heavy themes. "I wrote about it because I thought that someone had to write about it and spread knowledge about it. Instead of being uncomfortable, viewers thankfully sympathized and gave me strength, so I'm sincerely thankful. The basic principle of writing for 'Voice' is to convey the realistic dangers of crime with real crimes as motifs," she said.

"The most important charm of each season is not losing the message we want to convey in the story and not losing our original intentions. I think that's where we shine the most. The story can expand externally for each season, but my hope remains unchanged: I want people to think again about our society's 'golden time' through the stories of a 112 emergency center that saves people and lends an ear to marginalized voices," she added.

Trailer

With the Circus Man rampant, time is running out as the murders pile on. As Derek Jo and Kang Kwon-joo join forces to catch this crazed killer, Kwon-joo's PTSD makes it harder for her to go back on the field, while the fact that Circus Man has the same ability as her keeps throwing her off her game. With her winning edge, will Kwon-joo be able to stop this gruesome killer in time?
