Plot
According to the official synopsis of the series, "Melinda Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) returns to Virgin River and Doc's clinic, realizing she must learn to come to terms with herself and her past before she can truly make this her home."
While this doesn't shed a lot of light on what Season 2 will entail, the additional synopsis teases a lot of oncoming drama. "Engagement. Babies. Heartbreak. Murder. For a small town, Virgin River has its fair share of drama – and Mel Monroe is often in the middle of it."
Cast
Alexandra Breckenridge as Melinda Mel Monroe
Breckenridge plays the role of a nurse and a midwife who relocates to Virgin River from LA to begin anew. The actress is known for her work on 'Dirt', 'The Ex List', the first season of FX's 'American Horror Story' 'Murder House', 'Coven, 'The Walking Dead' and 'This is Us'.
Martin Henderson as Jack Sheridan
As Jack Sheridan, Henderson plays the role of Mel's love interest. The actor is known for his role on 'Off the Map', 'The Ring', 'Shortland Street', 'the Red Road', 'Secrets & Lies', 'Little Fish', a role for which he was nominated for AFI Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and FCCA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. His role in 'Grey's Anatomy' as Dr Nathan Riggs is also very acclaimed.
The series also stars Tim Matheson as Vernon Doc Mullins, Annette O'Toole as Hope McCrea, Lauren Hammersley as Charmaine Roberts, Colin Lawrence as John Preacher Middleton, Grayson Gurnsey as Ricky, and Sarah Dugdale as Lizzie.
