'Scoop' draws inspiration from Prince Andrew's real-life interview with BBC's Emily Maitlis (Gillian Anderson), during which the prince discussed his friendship with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sexual offenses.

The film chronicles Sam McAlister's (Billie Piper) attempts to hold Prince accountable for his wrongdoings and her struggles in arranging the notorious interview with the palace.

Furthermore, using a real-life dramatization, the film explores the behind-the-scenes efforts as the Newsnight team battles to hold a powerful man accountable.
