Victon comment on if they will beat the 7-year K-pop curse, fans say 'they have to'

The boy group had dropped their single album ‘Chronograph’ back in January and shared that to reduce the carbon footprint and wastage of physical albums, they would be adding its benefits to the digital versions like photocards, fansign draws and chart tracking.
Well, the boys are back in five months with ‘Chaos’ and its lead single ‘Stupid O’Clock’ for which they went all out evident with the cinematic and heist-themed music video. Victon sings about falling hard and fast in love regardless of the consequences in the upbeat dance track. Well, following the release on May 31, the boy group held a showcase where they also discussed their seven years in K-pop and if they would be one of the few to beat the 7-year K-pop curse.

Will Victon beat the 7-year K-pop curse?
With the usual K-pop contracts being for seven years, a majority of the groups either lose members by the end of the contract, go on an indefinite hiatus or simply disband. There have been very few groups that have renewed their contracts without losing a member. BTS and Seventeen successfully renewed their contracts while GOT7 left their agency but are still together. And so with Victon debuting in November 2016, they are set to talk contract renewal soon. They spoke about how they wouldn’t have been where they were without their fans and their teamwork.
Victon also hinted that they would stay together as they were each other's source of energy and motivation. We had member Byungchan acknowledging that they did know about the 7-year curse and that they would not be able to give a definitive answer yet. However, he was sure that they would still do their best to stay together “moving forward if we show good performance through group and individual activities.” Heochan was even more confident as he shared, “They refer to it as the '7-Year Jinx', but the seven members of VICTON share a bond that is like family and friends. We always want to be together.”
'I believe in Victon'
Fans are sure Victon will last as one tweeted, “Only make group who has made good music since 2016. They have to. No one else making quality like them.” Another posted, “Victon i know damn well you will beat the 7-year curse.” One added, “Svt and victon assuring us that they will beat/beat the 7 year contract curse by saying that their bonds as groups are too strong to let go anytime soon because they want to keep creating memories with carats & alices makes me so sentimental.” Another commented, “Not a lot of groups survive the “7-year curse”, but I believe in VICTON.”
