Victon Hanse 'Blaze': Release date, concept and all about rapper's solo debut album
With the third-gen boy group Victon having their last comeback in January 2021, fans have eagerly been waiting for new albums from the boys. Well, it looks like their wishes were sort of heard. The group’s oldest member Seungwoo had his solo debut with ‘Fade’ in June and ended up enlisting a month later. And now it’s Hanse, Victon's rapper's turn to go solo. He and Chan, in fact, did walk the Seoul Fashion Week in March for ‘SETSETSET’.
Well, Hanse has decided to release his solo debut album ‘Blaze’ on his birthday due to which fans have all the more reason to celebrate. His agency, Play M announced that it would be a digital album with double title tracks. ALICEs (Victon’s fandom) are further excited because this will be a chance for Hanse to showcase his songwriting and vocal skills as the rapper has written his verse for all of Victon’s songs.

Hanse has written the lyrics for all of the tracks including the double title tracks -- ‘Take Over’ and ‘Public Enemy’. He has also participated in the making of ‘Diamonds’, ‘Slash’, ‘Public Enemy’, ‘Ride or Die’ and ‘Scent’. According to the press release, ‘Take Over’ is a house song perfect for the ongoing fashion week with heavy bass. It is the last song he made and was made the fastest as he wrote it in two hours.
‘Diamond’ is a hip-hop song with a refreshing summer vibe. ‘Slash’ is a trap song with a relaxed tempo. ‘Public Enemy’ is a punk track with pop elements that Hanse wants to show the fans the most while ‘Ride or Die’ is like a love song as he was inspired by Bonnie and Clyde and has dark elements. ‘Scent’ is an R&B song as Hanse sings about forgetting his past love to the extent that even their scent fades away.
Concept
Hanse goes with the bold and confident image that he has made with Victon as he oozes swagger in embellished denim outfits and kitschy props. He explains that like the title 'Blaze', he wants to shine and show his best self for his first album.
Teaser
Hanse dropped the music video teaser for ‘Take Over’ in which he models for the camera wearing a crown atop a white horse as if he is a knight in a shining avant-garde outfit.
