The last episode of the season saw the whole group make a weekend getaway to celebrate James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss' engagement. But while the engaged couple went horseriding, Brock Davies and Scheana Shay who got engaged a few days previously took the opportunity to tell the rest. While saying that they didn't want to take way attention, the duo proceeded to do exactly that which saw the whole cast respond in silence to the happy news. They also told them about the initial plan of getting married at James and Raquel's weekend, which they later scrapped, adding to the uncomfortable situation.

Lala Kent who was particularly annoyed by what they pulled off, told James what happened later on at their engagement dinner party at night. James who was rightly pissed off at his friends confronted Brock about it while Scheana was pissed at Lala. This ended up with a fight between the two engaged couples, with Raquel hurt and James kicking out Brock when the latter was unapologetic. Fans who witnessed the dramatic finale took James' side and slammed Brock and Scheana for what they planned to pull off and ultimately ruining the night. Calling them out for their 'tacky' behaviour, this is what fans had to say.

A fan said, "@scheanaseriously what the hell were you thinking ????? How the hell did you think staying at the party and putting your ring on was the right thing to do? #cringe #vanderpumprules #bravo", while another added, "Scheana “I don’t want to make it about our engagement at their event” **tells everyone she’s engaged at their actual party** #VanderpumpRules". A tweet read, "#PumpRules #VanderpumpRules Raquel really needs to cut ties with Scheana.. THIS is exactly why until Raquel came along Scheana was only tolerated by the girls. She's not a good friend."

Another tweet read, "We're not gonna act like you weren't wrong trying to get married during James' and Raquel's engagement weekend. You were wrong when you announced you were engaged. Trying to steal the moment. #vanderpumprules". A user commented, "Brock and Scheana are wrong. James and Raquel had every right to know about their sneaking around and plans that they blurted to everyone in a cringe toast. #vanderpumprules". A fan also said, "What Brock and Schena did is a hundred percent tacky. It’s funny how they said they’re don’t want to make it about them when they made it completely about them. #vanderpumprules Brock is a slim ball".
