‘Vanderpump Rules’: Katie slammed for lashing out at her best friend Kristen, fans call her a 'mean girl'
What is going on amongst the Witches of Weho? Things seem to have hit rock-bottom among this trio as Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney-Schwartz have turned against Kristen Doute for not taking a clean break from her ex-boyfriend, Carter. They have been very hard on Kristen about it, especially Katie.
In the previous episode of ‘Vanderpump Rules’, we saw Kristen snap when Stassi and Katie ganged up against her and gave her grief about still being in touch with Carter. Kristen reminded Katie that she was always there for her when her husband, Tom Schwartz, was cheating on her.
Katie didn’t appreciate her best friend bringing up the past and began lashing out at her, by saying that Kristen was never happy in any of her relationships and is a “miserable” person. Ouch. That’s a very harsh thing to say to your best friend, but she didn’t stop at that. Later that night when the girls are at the strip club, and the boys join them, Kristen tries talking to Schwartz, but Katie immediately pulls him away from her and says, “She’s (Kristen) cut”.
In her green-room interview, Kristen points out how Kate handled it very immaturely like a “high school bully”, by telling her husband that Kristen is “cut” because she’s upset with her. Fans agreed with Kristen and slammed Katie for being “mean” to her.

Several fans felt that Katie was “miserable” herself and it explains her behavior towards Kristen. A fan wrote, “Acting like you're emotionally spent due to Kristen's venting to you about Carter, and then telling her she is 'cut' from being your friend. There are better ways to deal with this entire situation, and you are failing miserably #PumpRules.”
Another fan expressed, “Katie is so miserable with her life and who she is and what she looks like that she just constantly puts down anyone else around her to make herself feel better, get help sweetie. Your jealousy and insecurities are not a good look. #pumprules.”
