'Vanderpump Rules' stars James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss have been in a relationship for close to five years now. The couple has had their ups and downs during the seasons with Kennedy usually being the problematic one. Rumors of infidelity, his abusive behavior, his sexuality have all been brought into question over the years. His alcohol addiction too was a pretty big red flag until Raquel gave him an ultimatum. Since then things have been good for the couple with James being sober for almost 2 years now and in love with Raquel. The latest episode saw Kennedy getting ready to take the next step.

James to soon pop the question to Raquel

Episode 2 of Season 9 saw James invite the gang for a getaway to Palm Springs to hold their very own Coachella. But this is in fact part of the plan for his proposal to Leviss. He plans to ask Raquel to marry him here as he remembers her saying Coachella is her favorite memory. Taking the Covid cancellation into account he thoughtfully recreated their own little event for her. Before leaving for Palm Springs we saw him drop in at Tom Sandoval's place, who's secretly helped him prepare for it all. Sandoval's excited as well as he's the only one in on the secret. James chats with him saying he asked Raquel's father for permission and kind of got it? He's not sure himself but is happy to take the leap with her. That being said James is all ready for Raquel to be 'Mrs. DJ Kennedy'. But well things could always go wrong as we see Leviss cry in next week's episode preview.

'Vanderpump Rules' airs every Tuesday on Bravo at 9/8 c.
