'V Wars' starring Ian Somerhalder and Adrian Holmes is now streaming on Netflix. The show, based on the comics of the same name by Jonathan Maberry -- albeit, diverting from the original story -- is set in a world where a pathogen released by melting polar ice caps turns people into vampires.

By the fifth episode, the number of vampires has risen and the government is taking it as a serious threat, warning the public that Michael Fayne -- Patient Zero -- is spreading the disease. While the General gives a press conference calling the vampires terrorists, he also announces a hotline number of sorts so citizens can turn in their friends, family, or neighbors whom they suspect to be vampires.

As soon as the General says this, Luther -- watching on television -- says that the government is basically talking about internment camps and that more innocent people than not will suffer. This is when Undersecretary Niklos tells Luther to figure out the gene determining vampirism so they can test DNA to detect them.

These events are very much in alluding to the real-world situation with the crisis in America. Immigrant children, taken away from their parents, are taken to camps that have been widely called out by many. Further, the number of people detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office (ICE) has also increased as many reports arise of people being anonymously reported.

Moreover, there were also talks in between to introduce DNA testing at the borders to check whether those entering as families are, in fact, related. The US Government had also announced that it planned to collect DNA from detained immigrants to enter into the national criminal database.

Are the vampires terrorists? Though Luther advocates that they are actually victims to the pathogens, except for Michael and Mila that suggest that they aren't inclined towards violence.

All episodes of the first season of 'V Wars' are now streaming on Netflix.
