The light-hearted comedy became rather intense in the last episode of 'Upload'. The show revolving around a digital heaven got rather complicated and left a passage open for a possible Season 2.

At the beginning of the episode, the update was complete and the new uploads wake up. Nathan only seems to remember having an argument about the company, saying he does not care about who gets the credit.

He and Jamie reject Ingrid's father's proposal. He goes to Ingrid's house and the father compliments his code, saying he will offer a huge monetary sum without involving Jamie. And then Nathan says that he would have to offer a staggering fee for him to cut ties with Jamie.

Nora (Andy Allo) wakes Nathan (Robbie Amell) up, but he does not seem to remember who she is. This visibly hurts Nora and she starts the introduction process again, saying that she is his "Angel".

He tells her that she sounds depressing. Nora examines Nathan's memories and is distraught by what she sees. Nathan had betrayed his best friend, Jamie.

However, Nathan hasn't forgotten Nora at all, but he is too embarassed to face her. Nathan goes to the 2gig room, as he is financially secure. 2gig is hardly a relief in this world so he is told to not think too much and he will get a top-up a month later.

He attempts to call Nora using his data, and she eventually VRs to him. Nathan tells Nora that he remembers everything, and that he knows he betrayed his best friend. He says he could not face her. Nora gives it back to him and says that she does not want to be tarnished with the same brush.

Meanwhile, Nora is in danger. A man has entered her apartment. Nathan comes up with a plan to help her escape. Meanwhile, Nathan's ex-best friend Jamie is somewhat connected to this.

He is seen speaking to this man on an elevator intercom, asking him why he is doing all this, when he had followed all his orders. Nathan messes with the elevator and the man dies. Nathan's 2gig is over, and he is practically helpless.

Nora tells her father the whole truth, that Nathan betrayed his best friend and got murdered to cover it up. She said that she thought he was someone who could help people, but turns out she was wrong.

Her father says that she can escape from all this only if it is completely over between her and Nathan. An emotional Nora calls Nathan and reveals her feelings for him. She says that she knows he really isn't a bad person.

She confesses that she loves him and that they will uncover the real conspiracy. Nathan can't talk because of low memory, and he doesn't respond to Nora's love admission. He cries and a broken-hearted Nora leaves the city, thinking he ignored her.

At the end of the episode, Ingrid visits Nathan and gives him a 1gig. She tells Nathan that she uploaded for him. He is furious and he loses the 1gig. This leaves the door open for a Season 2.
