Season 1 of 'Upload' is slated for premiere on Friday, May 1, 2020.
Plot
The summary on Amazon reads: "In 2033, people who are near death can be 'uploaded' into virtual reality hotels run by 6 tech firms. Cash-strapped Nora lives in Brooklyn and works customer service for the luxurious 'Lakeview' digital afterlife. When LA party-boy/coder Nathan’s self-driving car crashes, his high-maintenance girlfriend uploads him permanently into Nora’s VR world."
After Nathan meets with his sudden early end, he is welcomed by Nora (Andy Allo) in his version of heaven. The series follows their lives as Nathan finds comfort in a life away from his loved ones while the very alive Nora struggles to make ends meet while working her job alongside Nathan in his afterlife.

Robbie Amell
Robbie is a Canadian actor and is the main protagonist of 'Upload'. He will be seen playing the role of the handsome serial party animal Nathan. Robbie is also famous for his roles in 'The X-Files', 'The Babysitter', 'Code 8' and 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'.
Andy Allo
Andy is a singer-songwriter and actress and is the female lead starring opposite Amell in 'Upload'. Allo is famous for her roles in 'Pitch Perfect 3', 'The Hero', 'The Game' and 'Attack of the Show!'.
Allegra Edwards
Allegra Edwards will be seen playing the role of Nathan's girlfriend Ingrid in 'Upload'. She is famous for her roles in 'Briarpatch', 'Alternatino with Arturo Castro' and 'Friends from College'.
Trailer
The trailer begins with Nathan (Amell) in a hospital after a terrible accident and in the digital afterlife, he has to choose between surgery and dying with an option to be 'uploaded' into an afterlife of his choice. He chooses the latter and ends up in his fantasy afterlife based in the ritzy and luxurious community "Lakeside" where his girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra) and her parents own purchased space.
As we see in the trailer, Nathan gets pretty comfortable to this life and has everything he wants right from a talking dog to the food of his choice and capsule cars but it comes with a catch. To possess it all, he has to have money for in-app purchases. The trailer also lays out his growing relationship with the customer support representative Nora (Andy), who is already enamored with him.
