For high school sweethearts, the most dreaded thing is having that ‘we-need-to-talk’ moment with their boyfriend/girlfriend, when they head to college. Such breakup conversations coincidentally happen during Thanksgiving break (it’s the first major holiday after the semester) and hence often called the ‘Turkey Drop’, when you drop the big news to your sweetheart about how the long-distance relationship is not working. Freeform’s upcoming holiday movie, ‘Turkey Drop’ is all about a freshman student’s attempt to evade the big ‘drop’.

Plot
Lucy Jacobs is a university freshman student who visits her small-town family home for Thanksgiving break. As she is about to start her holiday mood, she suspects that her high school sweetheart is about to drop the turkey on her. In other words, Lucy is afraid that she might get dumped. To avoid the disaster, Lucy would do anything, even if it means getting out of her ‘comfort zone’ and becoming the ‘go-getter’ girl from being a ‘play-safe’ girl. But can changing herself change what’s in store for her?

Olivia Holt
Olivia Holt plays the lead character of Lucy Jacobs in the movie. Viewers might know the rising actor for her role in Marvel’s recent release, ‘Cloak and Dagger’, followed by ‘Runaways’. She has also appeared in other TV series like ‘Camp Confessions’ and ‘Kicking It’.
Director/Writer
The Thanksgiving special is directed by Jerry Ciccoritti, while Tiffany Paulsen wrote the script for the same. Joel S Rice and Lydia Storie serve as executive producers on the movie, along with Jonas Prupas and Shane Boucher serving as producers.
