The premiere episode of 'True Life Presents: Quarantine Stories' focused on Jamiere, a college student who was kicked out of campus and forced to go home as the coronavirus pandemic hit. She was a psychology major student and in the last semester at college. To graduate, she needed to take seven classes and she was trailing in psych class and worried that she might not be able to pass which in turn would hamper her chances of graduating. Jamiere was highly disappointed with how things were going on, on the academic front and she was particularly stressed about the fact that her mother would be highly disappointed if she was unable to graduate.

Jamiere was an NCAA basketball player, she loved being outside and was admittedly a party person but with Covid-19 in full effect, she was stuck at home. On top of that, too many people were in and out of the house all the time with her mother, two sisters and their two friends staying in. Jamiere too had brought in her girlfriend Alexis home to stay with her in quarantine. Jamiere was uncomfortable with the fact that it messed up her studies as well as meddled with the intimacy in her and Alexis's life.

She was taking all of that in her stride but the fear of her mother being disappointed in case she doesn't graduate always loomed large over her. Jamiere loved her mom and had the utmost respect for everything she's done to give her and her sisters an education. At this point, Jamiere was sleeping through her morning class and she no longer could not have a conversation with her mother and make her aware of the fact that she might not be able to graduate this year. Jamiere's mother came up with a solution to all her problems. She promised to deal with all the chaos around the house and sought a promise in return that Jamiere would put in all efforts to try and graduate.

Armed with her mother's support and an aim to make her proud, Jamiere got back to her books and did what needed to be done. She graduated with a B and she and her mother celebrated this huge win with a shot. Her family even threw mock graduation for her since the official ceremony wasn't until fall. Jamiere is now pursuing a Master's in Business Studies.

'True Life Presents: Quarantine Stories' airs Wednesday nights at 9 pm ET only on MTV.
