One of the most important plot points about 'True Beauty' webcomics is the relationship between Ju-kyung and Seo-jun. After Su-ho leaves Seoul to stay with his ailing father and help him, Seo-jun and Ju-kyung become very good friends and over time they also begin dating. Their relationship is filled with ups and downs, especially caused by Ju-kyung's low self-esteem over how she looks as Seo-jun decides to take singing seriously as a career choice.

The moment his popularity increases, Ju-kyung asks him to break up with her because she is unable to remain cool under the pressure of growing speculations about Seo-jun's dating life. The scandal could very well end his career, so she also begins to believe that this would be for his best. Considering how the show has pretty much steered clear of the comics except for adapting a few important moments, this might never happen in the show. However, in Episode 8 we see how Seo-jun helps Ju-kyung through some tough times. As she deals with her insecurities and Su-ho's mood swings, he is a good friend to her. This could mark the beginning of something new.

Considering how Su-ho also notices the growing closeness between Seo-jun and Ju-kyung and even asks her if she likes him, this is something which hints at a potential breakup between the two lead characters. There is also the matter of Soo-jin and Su-ho's relationship being misunderstood by Ju-kyung as well, and all of this could quite possibly lead to a big confrontation between Ju-kyung and Su-ho. However, the one thing that we are most excited to see is the fist fight between Seo-jun and Su-ho.

Turns out Su-ho cannot accept anyone other than him having feelings for Ju-kyung because he throws a punch right at Seo-jun when he tells that he likes Ju-kyung and this is after their class goes out for a trip. So, the two of them fight over Ju-kyung in the middle of nowhere and when Su-ho asks Seo-jun why does it have to be Ju-kyung, a frustrated Seo-jun exclaims that he is not sure himself.

Of course, until about a 100 chapters in the comics, there is never a confrontation between Seo-jun and Su-ho which is exactly opposite from the show. Even when Seo-jun informs Su-ho who returns later in the comics that he has begun dating Ju-kyung, there is no animosity or hatred from Su-ho. Which is also why we wonder if Seo-jun and Ju-kyung's characters will ever get a chance to get as close as they got in the comics on the drama.

'True Beauty' episodes will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10.30 pm on tvN in Seoul, and can be streamed on Viki in the US.
