The highlight of 'Trinkets' Season 2's trailer has been Elodie's (Brianna Hildebrand) new girl in town. Technically she looks like she has always been around, but after the narcissistic rock goddess that Sabine (Katrina Cunningham) was, fans are probably more than just thrilled to see Elodie into someone else, more age-appropriate. But all of that adorable flirting, partying, and the whole thought of this being the final season looming large can't quite distract us from the burning elephantine question in the room: does the trio finally go to prison for what they did?

The prime reason behind all worries happens to be the opening scene of the trailer. Tabitha (Quintessa Swindell) and Moe (Kiana Madeira) are inside what looks like an interrogation room. They are being asked about an afternoon and whether they saw something unusual at the time. By the looks of it, it's the afternoon immediately after Moe and Elodie helped Tabitha seek revenge on her physically abusive ex Brady (Brandon Butler) and sink his car in the lake. Right after that, Elodie also eloped with Sabine to be her star-struck groupie on tour. So when asked if they noticed anything unusual about "her" that afternoon, Moe and Tabitha are most likely denying they know anything about Elodie's whereabouts.

The trailer however also teases Elodie coming "back" and it remains uncertain if she returned home or is staying elsewhere. But, at the same time, the trio considerably addresses how this is the one last time they are doing something big with regards to stealing, and while it sounds like they are pulling an almost heist, that whole "going out in flames" in the voiceover as Elodie, Moe and Tabitha run around doing what they do best seems like an undeniably ominous alarm foreshadowing something bad-bad in the future.

Does going out in flames mean they are finally getting arrested for sinking Brady's car? Although it's worth noticing that Tabitha, in an attempt to reclaim her Blackness, goes through a makeover full with braids and in tune with who she is. The scene of interrogation still shows Tabitha with her old hair so maybe that's what the season kicks off with. Still, it is a 10-episode long run and 'Trinkets' is known to pull at our heartstrings when we least expect it. So let's not drop our guards already, the final season can get a li'l messy.

'Trinkets' Season 2 will be available for streaming from Tuesday, August 25, only on Netflix.
