'The Voice' judge Reba McEntire expresses regret over not getting Karen Waldrup on her team

During the latest episode of 'The Voice' Season 25, Karen Waldrup, who is a part of Team Dan + Shay, wowed the crowd with her stunning performance of "Heart Like A Truck" by Lainey Wilson. The coaches then shared their thoughts on Karen's Playoff performance.

During the episode, Reba McEntire had a deeply personal moment where she openly shared her heartfelt desire to have Karen on her team. However, she expressed her immense disappointment and frustration as she revealed that she was unfortunately unable to do so because she had been blocked by Dan + Shay during the Blinds.

This revelation not only showcased Reba's genuine admiration for Karen's talent but also highlighted the competitive nature of the show, where even accomplished artists like Reba can face obstacles that hinder the realization of their musical aspirations. Chance the Rapper shared his deep admiration for how she interacted with the audience, pointing out her exceptional skill in forming a genuine connection with the crowd that left a lasting impact on him.

Dan and Shay were extremely complimentary of Karen's performance, with Dan even going so far as to declare it his all-time favorite performance from her. 'American Idol' judge Katy Perry gets trolled for wearing 'cheap looking outfits' and wig

Katy Perry received criticism from 'American Idol' Season 22 fans recently for her outfit choices and hairstyle on the ABC show. Some fans described her outfits as "cheap-looking" and lacking in style.

They also criticized her hairstyle, particularly her wigs, which they felt looked inexpensive and comparable to those found in budget stores. Fans took to social media to express their discontent, questioning why Katy consistently wore outfits that appeared low-quality.

They also commented on her wigs, suggesting that they did not meet expectations for someone of her status and wealth. Despite her role as a judge on a prominent television show, some viewers found it difficult to focus on anything other than Katy's hairstyle, which they deemed distracting and unflattering.

On X, fans noted, "Why does Katy always wear such cheap-looking outfits? And what is this Temu hair!?" Another viewer chimed in, "Katy Perry looks ridiculous, she could've just put on a red wig, she's always doing too much."

One X user also wrote, "I haven’t watched @AmericanIdol in years, but caught it tonight. Couldn’t focus on anything other than Katy’s terrible wig. You’re rich, girl! Why are you wearing that thirsty rug on your head??" A fourth user believed, "I can’t stand the fact that Katy Perry gets to sit there in that awful wig judging other people."

'Take My Tumor' Dr Osborne removed tumor from patient with high risk of facial paralysis

This week's 'Take My Tumor' featured 42-year-old Marlow of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who suffers from a rare genetic disease that has caused enormous tumors to grow on his face and back. At age five, the father of two was diagnosed with type 1 neurofibromatosis (NF-1).

Marlow underwent his first surgery at the age of seven to remove the first of several tumors that would develop throughout his life. While the operation was successful, the tumor regrew after six months, doubling in size.

Over the following three decades, Marlow would acquire tumors on his head, neck, and back, requiring many surgeries to remove them, including a 3 lb mass on his shoulder and a 5 lb growth on his skull. The chef was now having enormous tumors on his neck, back, and cheek, which were causing agony, headaches, and a bend in his spine.

Due to his discomfort and muscular tightness, Marlow struggled to move his head or use his right arm. Determined to enhance his quality of life, he contacted Dr Ryan Osborne, a Los Angeles-based head and neck surgical oncologist and director of the Osborne Head and Neck Institute.

Marlow traveled to Los Angeles to see whether Dr Osborne could do the same for him. Previously, physicians he had met about removing his face tumor stated there was a 50/50 chance it would result in complete facial paralysis, and Dr Osborne agreed.

He told Marlow that there was a substantial danger of severing a major facial nerve in his cheek, which controls all facial functions.

On the day of the operation, after making the first cut, Dr Osborne noticed how complex the tumor was, stating that all the facial nerve branches were interwoven and 'impossible' to navigate. He described the tumor as a 'nightmare' and stated, "It's worse than I expected."

Dr Osborne proceeded gently, starting with low-risk regions of the tumor and progressing to higher-risk places where the danger of paralysis rose. Dr Osborne was pleased with how the procedure went and how much tumor he was able to remove, but he was concerned about the possibility of nerve damage, which he would not know until Marlow awoke.

But, according to Marlow, the first thing he did when he awoke from surgery was grin broadly for everyone in the room. Eleven weeks after the procedure, he stated that he was completely satisfied with his new appearance.

Even though Dr Osborne was unable to remove all the growth, Marlow was really pleased with the outcome.

'The Curse of Oak Island' finds hints that a Viking ship might be the ship buried in the Swamp

The crew behind 'The Curse of Oak Island' discovered proof that the ship assumed to be buried in the swamp was actually a Viking ship, and that the Vikings assisted the Templar Knights in bringing wealth to the island. This season of Oak Island is winding down, and the last few episodes already have an end-of-semester feel to them.

However, Rick Lagina and his team have obtained some excellent data on their field trip to Europe. The lads have been attempting to retrace the route the Templar Knights may have traveled across Europe on their approach to Oak Island.

They have been to Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, and, eventually, Iceland. This week, the team went to a Viking Ship Museum in Iceland and got to step aboard a replica Viking ship.

The ship's builder informed the men that this style of vessel was initially created in the 11th century but would still be utilized in the 13th century, when the Templars would have constructed the Money Pit. Interestingly, this ship was a freight vessel capable of transporting up to 20 tons.

Corjan Mol asked the million-dollar question, and the builders assured him that the yacht could have traveled to Canada. He also mentioned that the Vikings had been employing sail ships to traverse larger and longer distances since the eighth century.
