South Korea’s Gaon Music Chart has released their list of those acts to whom they have given album sales certification awards for the best-selling album till the month of November. Gaon takes it upon themselves to comb through their charts for new and old popular releases and awards them certificates like platinum and million-seller badges. In the last couple of months, we saw huge releases from the likes of NCT 127, Seventeen, Enhypen, and aespa.

Back in October, we saw acts like BTS getting a triple-million and NCT 127 getting a double-million badge for their albums ‘Love Yourself: Answer!’ and ‘Sticker’, respectively. It should be noted that Gaon Music Chart has teamed up with KMCA (Korean Music Content Industry Association) to recognize best-selling albums and the top K-pop acts of each month. They start awarding songs and albums that cross 250k sales. But releases that are only older than six weeks are considered which is why fans knew Seventeen would be awarded since ‘Attacca’ crossed 1.4 million pre-orders in a day.
