'Too much wine': Lizzo reveals drinking 'wine with ice' during boozy visits to Adele’s Beverly Hills home

Lizzo refused to 'speak too much on' what the insides of Adele’s mansion look like but notably called it 'real nice' and 'real English'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lizzo reveals enjoying boozy wine dates at Adele's house in a recent interview on Wednesday, February 15. The songstress detailed how she has been invited to the 'Hello' hitmaker's Beverly Hills abode as their friendship goes far beyond what fans saw at the 2023 Grammy awards.

“We drink wine with ice,” the ‘Good as Hell’ singer told co-hosts Jason King and Kelly Brook while appearing on the UK’s Heart radio when she was asked whether the two stars, both 34, have had tea together. “Funny enough, I drink it, too, but I wouldn’t dare request this at her house,” she went on. Lizzo refused to “speak too much on” what the insides of Adele’s mansion look like but notably called it “real nice” and “real English”. While describing what the house smells like, Lizzo said: “Too much wine. I don’t remember.”

'Me and Adele were drinking so much'

This comes after Lizzo got “so drunk” with her pal Adele at the Grammys. The ‘Juice’ singer and ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ singer were snapped partying on the February 5 night while sipping out of some hip flasks they had smuggled in. “I legitimately was so drunk,” Lizzo recalled the drunken night on 'Elvis Duran and the Morning Show'. “Me and Adele were drinking so much that we didn’t even really know what the categories were at this point. “I brought [a flask] for Adele, and then I drank hers,” she candidly confessed. “I had so many flasks. I had like three flasks at the table. Always be prepared.”

“I had zero say in where I was sitting, but Adele had 100% say in where she was sitting,” Lizzo continued. “So, therefore, Adele FaceTimed me when I was in Grammy rehearsal a few days before. She was like, ‘Oh, my God! Oh, my God, we’re sitting next to each other.’” She added: "We were like, 'Wait. Did they do best new artist?' We didn’t even know when it was time and they would just call out names so we were like, 'Smile, smile.'"

Lizzo calls Brit Awards 'just a bar for artists'

Lizzo, who recently performed at the Brit Awards, talked about how the ceremony is "just a bar for artists" as they do not have to sneak liquor in unlike what she did on the Grammys night. "By the way you don't have to sneak alcohol to the freaking BRITs. Because the BRITs is a bar, it's an award show that's covered up, it's just a bar for artists! The guys are like 'it's an awards show'… nah it's just a pub, we're lit, it's just a party like I sat at the table and I didn't even know where to begin. There was a whole bottle of tequila1942 in front of my chair alone. This wasn't even part of the table, so I was like oh, it was a cornucopia of liquors and ambrosias,” she explained, according to Yahoo!
