Adele triggers a memefest as she calls for silence during Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime performance

The singer was recently spotted expressing support for Beyonce at the Grammys earlier this month

GLENDALE, ARIZONA: The Super Bowl had its fair share of celebrity show ups, but none was so talked about as Adele! The English singer-songwriter was captured on camera as she spoke to a pair of men flanking her and her meme-worthy face has the internet in splits! She is seen snapping her fingers and calling for silence, in anticipation of Rihanna’s halftime show, after she previously declared that she was attending only to show her support for her fellow singer.

The 'Rolling in the Deep’ singer was seen sitting in the VIP section of the arena, where she was accompanied by the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Jay-Z and Paul McCartney. In the clip that has now been shared by millions, Adele is seen wearing a huge pair of sunglasses and sipping her drink, while quickly shushing the men around her to make sure that they remain quiet while Rihanna performs. She had declared previously that she did not care for the sports aspect of the Super Bowl much and was only showing up for the ‘Love The Way You Lie’ singer. “I’m going just for Rihanna. I don’t give a flying f**k,” she had said.

‘JUST TO SEE RIHANNA’

Adele’s perfectly put together appearance as she sat for the game with partner Rich Paul was widely talked about as she kept throwing out animated gestures that had Twitter in splits. “Adele went to the Superbowl just to see Rihanna,” one user tweeted. Another had also taken to posting, “Why is adele at the audience always meme material.” A third user had also commented on Adele’s support for Rihanna, saying, “Adele is just like us. here for rihanna nothing more.”

Another user had funnily compared Adele watching the game to the audience watching ‘House of Gucci,’ only for Lady Gaga. The tweet read, “Adele in the super bowl only for rihanna is giving me watching a three hours movie about gucci only for gaga.” One user had also made assumptions as to what Adele could have said in the video, saying, "You know what? I’ll have some weed, and she’ll be fab. She’ll be fab”.

‘Full time meme material!'

Another user had taken a slight dig at Adele saying she did not care for the Super Bowl, posting a tweet with a video of her looking bewildered, “Adele watching the super bowl while not knowing the rules.” A fifth user had posted many clips of Adele from the Super Bowl and other instances, deeming her to be a “part time singer” and “full time meme material.” Another user had also pointed out that the clip would become meme fodder as the tweet read, “I swear this is a new Adele meme lol.” A user had also pointed out about Adele's penchant for expressions that quickly go on to become memes, saying, "If there’s one thing Adele’s gonna do, it’s create endless memes."
