'We were so drunk': Lizzo spills beans on alcohol flasks she shared with Adele at Grammys
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lizzo admitted that she and Adele were "so drunk" at the Grammy Awards ceremony held on Sunday, February 5. The two Grammy award winners reportedly couldn't keep track of the categories throughout the ceremony.
In an interview on 'Elvis Duran and the Morning Show', Lizzo reflected on her exciting night at the Grammys, where she was in high spirits, thanks to the British star's company and a little bit of alcohol. She claimed she was really surprised when she received the record of the year award for 'About Damn Time'.

'Me and Adele were drinking so much'
"I was so drunk. Me and Adele were drinking so much that we didn’t even really know what the categories were at this point," Lizzo said, before adding, "We were like, 'Wait. Did they do best new artist?' We didn’t even know when it was time and they would just call out names so we were like, 'smile, smile.'" "When they called my name I was in total shock because I didn’t expect to win at all," she continued.
Lizzo also admitted that she had packed wine in flasks for herself and Adele. The 'Truth Hurts' singer brought a flask of tequila for herself and a flask of white wine for Adele, though she ultimately ended up drinking from both of them. "I brought it for Adele, and then I drank hers," as Lizzo explained she has a 'flask collection' at home to match her outfits.
Lizzo added, "I had zero say in where I was sitting, but Adele had 100% say in where she was sitting. So therefore Adele Facetimed me when I was in Grammy rehearsal a few days before. She was like 'Oh my God! Oh my God, we're sitting next to each other.'"
'What are you filming me for?'
The duo made the award event fun as they supported the winners. In a TikTok video, Lizzo documented the moment her close friend Harry Styles won Album of The Year award. She encouraged him as he entered the stage, panning the camera at one point to Adele, who hilariously remarked, "What you filming me for?"
When Lizzo received her Grammy, she began her speech by saying, "Let me tell you something. Me and Adele are having a good time just enjoying ourselves, rooting for our friends. This is an amazing night, this is so unexpected." Moreover, Adele also won a Grammy that night for best pop solo performance for 'Easy on Me'.
