'A living meme': Adele trolled as she 'shushes' fans during Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime show
GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Adele, who previously stated that she was only going to the Super Bowl 2023 to watch Rihanna's performance in the halftime show, has now become a meme after she made her appearance at the event in State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. She was spotted at the gallery for the game where Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles.
During one of Adele's Las Vegas residency shows in early February, she expressed being disinterested in America's big game saying "I don’t give a flying f***." The 34-year-old singer who said “I’m going just for Rihanna,” admitted that she is going to the event for Rihanna's 13-minute performance.

Adele, who appeared at the game, received all the attention of the Super Bowl fans who noticed her appearing to show up at the game only for the 'Umbrella' singer's performance. The 'Skyfall' singer was seen with her boyfriend Rich Paul. The duo sat in the stadium's VIP section, surrounded by celebrities, including Gordon Ramsay, Paul McCartney, and Jay-Z.
The singer's video of attending the game and sipping her drink was found unbothered and just moments before the halftime show, she made a "zip it" gesture at two men and shushed the crowd.

Internet users trolled her for her gesture and seemingly being annoyed by the crowd. One Twitter user wrote, "Why is Adele at the audience always meme material," and another wrote, "She did say she was going just for her," while someone tweeted, "She says 'as soon as Rihanna comes out, shut up'."
"And yet another meme of adele LMFAO this woman is just so hilarious without even trying," a user commented and another opined, "It was so nasty, we had to turn the channel. Shame."

"What’s up with her mouth? Like, this isn’t the first she does this gesture. Is she on something?" a user quipped in and someone tweeted, "Adele is a living meme," while another tweeted, "She is probably asking every 2mins, ‘when is the 1/2time show?’ "
"I get that she's bothered when recorded, but come on Adele, stop being iconic too, you have to collaborate," one person remarked, and a user commented, "She’s always doing that damn lip thing," and another user wrote, "She really meant it when she said she will be there for Rihanna."
