Today’s entire OG host lineup goes missing as fill-in anchors take over Labor Day segment
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ multiple beloved hosts went missing from the NBC show and were replaced by fill-ins for the Labor Day segment.
‘Today’ hosts were out taking their time off from their duties on Monday, September 4.
Craig Melvin, Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, and Al Roker were nowhere to be found on the latest episode of the morning show.
The absence of 'Today' anchors has been frequent, as Carson Daly has also been off the air since last week.
In addition, Roker was absent for several days last week, and the real reason for her absence was not disclosed.
Where are ‘Today’ hosts?
On the Labor Day episode of ‘Today’ show, Craig Melvin, Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, and Al Roker were replaced by three fill-ins, Jacob Soboroff, Sheinelle Jones, and Tom Llamas.
The fan-favorite Dylan Dreyer replaced Al Roker for his usual weather segment.
Despite their absence, none of the hosts gave a reason why they were absent for the day.
In recent weeks, the hosts have been taking turns with occasional absences. Roker, too, was missing on September 1, and Dreyer stepped in as a replacement.
Some of these absences coincided with Roker celebrating his birthday.
The duration of these substitutions on the 'Today' show remains uncertain, and it's possible that some of them took time off on Labor Day, a federal holiday, to spend time with their families.

‘Today’ show new online series
The ‘Today’ Show recently introduced its on-air back-to-school campaign, but notably omitted two key hosts from the lineup.
On their Instagram account, ‘Today’ showcased several of their well-known anchors, each sharing insights into their family's preparations for the back-to-school season.
To mark the occasion, the hosts created ‘Today lists’ that outline their commitments for the fall.
The caption accompanying the post read, "The back-to-school season inspired the TODAY family to reflect on the habits they want to commit (or recommit) to this fall. Rather than a to-do list, we're calling it a TODAY list!"
The post went on to explain, “Much like brushing your teeth or walking the dog, the goal of this exercise is to shift those aspirational items on your to-do list into a seamless part of your everyday life."
