NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: NBC's ‘Today’ host Carson Daly recently snapped at one of the show’s guests after the producers cued him to hustle up with the segment.

It happened during Friday's ‘Today’ cooking segment when the 50-year-old host had chef and cookbook author Matt Moore on the show on how to make a meat lover’s pizza and steak bruschetta.

While the rest of ‘Today’ hosts were enjoying the delicacy, Daly was there to support Moore.

Carson Daly snaps at ‘Today’ guest

The ‘Today’ cooking segment kicked off with a discussion about cast-iron pizza, accompanied by Daly casually holding a glass of beer in his hand.

Daly took a few sips before Moore delved into demonstrating how viewers could craft their own pizza dough for the dish. After efficiently assembling the pizza in the cast-iron pan and prepping it for the oven, the dynamic duo seamlessly transitioned to the next culinary endeavor.

The spotlight then shifted to Moore as he expertly walked through the steps of creating a mouth-watering rib-eye cap steak bruschetta.

While Daly skillfully blended ingredients, the chef engaged in a lively conversation about his meat selection, humorously addressing how it resolved one of the "minor differences" in his marriage.

He explained that his wife favored filet mignon, whereas he had a penchant for ribeye steak.

Finding a compromise, the cookbook author gleefully discovered the ribeye cap, a cut that satisfied both palates, and went on to share intriguing details about this specific meat.

As Moore continued his meat-centric discourse, Daly couldn't help but glance over at off-stage producers.

Eventually, the host realized it was time to gently steer the conversation away from the meat-centric topic, understanding the need to maintain a balanced and engaging show.

"OK, we've got about 30 seconds," Daly cautioned the chef as the segment approached its conclusion.

Sensing the time crunch, Moore hastened his explanation about the steak, while the host star efficiently recapped the key points and signaled for his guest to speed up.

In a race against the clock, they managed to cover everything just in time, and Daly emphatically declared, "This is gorgeous... this meal wins!"

Carson Daly mock food contributor on ‘Today’

Just a few days earlier, Daly found himself in another unexpected moment with one of the show's guest chefs. This time, his playful banter targeted ‘Today’ food contributor Elizabeth Heiskell, specifically her pronunciation of the word "oil."

Heiskell joined Daly and the co-hosts to demonstrate how to prepare a delectable pork tenderloin dinner with a sweet glaze.

As Daly assisted Heiskell in prepping the meal, he engaged in conversation, inquiring about the various ingredients.

When Heiskell moved on to the cabbage side dish, discussing the addition of butter and oil to aid in caramelization, her Southern accent gave a distinctive twist to the pronunciation of "oil," making it sound more like "all."

Daly, unable to resist the opportunity for humor, playfully mimicked Heiskell pronunciation, and his colleagues joined in on the light-hearted jest.

"I don't know if I have that," Daly quipped, injecting a dose of levity into the culinary demonstration.

The cook fired back with a spirited response, declaring, "Let me tell you something, I'm from Mississippi, we use more oil than anyone on the planet, so we decide how to say it."

Her confident retort earned a round of applause from the ‘Today’ co-hosts, acknowledging her culinary authority and regional flair.

Daly, gracefully conceding the playful banter, admitted defeat with a smile and nodded to Heiskell, signaling that he would let her have that particular linguistic victory.
