'Today’ hosts Dylan Dreyer and Keir Simmons baffled over 'cute' item during 'Shop All Day' segment
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent episode, ‘Today’ hosts Dylan Dreyer and Keir Simmons were left in splits over a ‘cute’ item during the 'Shop All Day' segment. The hosts couldn't understand it, and many viewers shared their confusion.
On Thursday, July 20 ‘Today’ broadcast, the item exhibited by Shop All Day contributor Chassie Post perplexed Dylan Dreyer and Kier Simmons. It happened during the ‘Today 3rd Hour’ segment when Dreyer and Simmons welcomed the contributor. Normally, Dreyer and Craig Melvin would start the segment, but because Melvin has been away from the morning program for the past few days enjoying his vacation with family at the beach, Simmons has been stepping in.
‘Really? Now, come on’
During the ‘Today 3rd Hour’ segment, Dreyer and Simmons led the 'Soap Up the Sun' segment and Chassie Post presented the Summer Essentials. The first item she showed was a clip-on umbrella that can be attached to anything. While the hosts were amazed by the item, the look on their faces didn’t last long as the next item was quite confusing to understand. Chassie went on to promote the mini-umbrella which attached to a phone to prevent the glare on the screen. Surprisingly, Simmons shouts after he sees the mini-umbrella, “Really? Now, come on” as Dreyer added, “Sometimes, you don’t need to use your phone." Although the item was a bit weird for the hosts, Dreyer then added that the way it is designed is ‘cute’. Simmons agreed with Dreyer that phones can sometimes get hot, so using preventive measures would be beneficial. Chassie proceeded to demonstrate comfortable sandals designed for women, a grip mitt, and Chili Crunch Hot Honey.

'Bringing the sunshine!'
Earlier this week, in a recent Instagram video, Al Roker, the 68-year-old weatherman, had let 'Today' viewers in on secrets from behind the scenes of the morning show. He shared a video of the busy crew on the New York set as they prepared for the show, making adjustments, and setting up. Roker interacted with a stage manager and mentioned the upcoming lottery draw on Wednesday. In a playful manner, Roker teased his co-hosts, Dylan Dreyer and Craig Melvin. He jokingly called out Dreyer as she had arrived just one minute before filming, quipping, "We've got to hit Dylan up. Dylan, of course, will not have the money. Dylan - while we all know that Craig's cheap - Dylan is the secret cheapster." Despite the friendly banter, Roker had complimented Dreyer on her yellow dress, playfully exclaiming, "Bringing the sunshine!"
