NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ beloved hosts Al Roker and Craig Melvin have recently gone missing from the NBC show on Tuesday, September 19 as weekend anchor Joe Fryer steps in for the missing hosts.

During ‘Today 3rd Hour’, Fryer filled in for the men and joined Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones.

Roker has been missing from the morning show this entire week as he was also nowhere to be seen on Monday.

However, Melvin was present that day and revealed Roker’s whereabouts as the 69-year-old meteorologist was celebrating his 28th wedding anniversary with his wife, Deborah Roberts.

Al Roker and Craig Melvin went missing

On Tuesday’s ‘Today’ broadcast, two of the beloved hosts Al Roker and Craig Melvin went missing.

Melvin typically joins Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb around 30 minutes into the main show, but on Tuesday, his absence was notable, and the women led the show on their own.

Guthrie mentioned that Melvin was "on assignment" but did not provide additional details.

Additionally, Roker, who usually reports the weather during the first hour of the show, was replaced by Dylan Dreyer. Dreyer also stepped in for Roker on Monday.

Typically, Roker and Melvin join Dreyer and Jones on the ‘Today 3rd Hour’, but they were unexpectedly replaced by weekend ‘Today’ anchor Joe Fryer.

Dreyer began the show with a greeting: "Good morning, everyone. Welcome to the Third Hour of Today. I'm Dylan, along with Sheinelle, and our friend, Joe Fryer."

Jones and Dreyer expressed their delight in having Fryer join them but did not provide any additional information regarding the whereabouts of Roker and Melvin.

In the photos, Melvin was seen engaging with players and others at the Pittsburgh Steelers stadium during a game.

One photo showed Paul in the background capturing a shot of Melvin while he was being filmed for a segment on Monday.

Another image depicted Melvin inside a building with his arms folded, and a clapboard was featured prominently in the foreground. The clapboard displayed Craig and Ava DeMarco's names, along with the words "NBC Today Terrible Towel."

The nature of Melvin’s filming assignment and his return date remains unclear at the moment. Similarly, there is no definite information about when Roker will be returning to the show.
