‘Today’ host Hoda Kotb yells as Al Roker hilariously goes off-script during NBC show's weather segment
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’s beloved host Hoda Kotb recently threw a brutal shade at co-host Al Roker, yelling ‘What are you doing?’ as the meteorologist went off-script on live TV.
On the 'Today' show on Tuesday, September 5, Kotb discussed the late summer heat wave that was affecting areas of the nation; however, Roker chose to show footage of snow instead of reporting on a heat wave.
Meanwhile, this comes after Kotb returned to the 'Today' show after taking a week off. Later, she revealed the true cause of her absence on Instagram.
She posted photographs of her sister, Hala, who was seen enjoying moonlit beaches, stunning sunsets, and treasured times with her daughters Haley and Hope.

Why did Hoda Kotb yell at Al Roker?
During a recent ‘Today’ episode, Hoda Kotb kicked off Al Roker’s weather reporting segment. As she talked about a heat wave, Roker hilariously showed off footage of snow, causing Kotb to yell at the weatherman.
The unusual and sweltering heat in various areas felt more like the peak of summer than the usual transition to fall.
"Let's head over to Mr Roker to check the forecast," she suggested, directing the camera to Roker. Roker was positioned in front of a sizable screen that had previously been displaying scenes of people shoveling snow and other wintry images.
Kotb, confused, inquired, "What are you doing?" Roker teasingly said, “I thought I'd give us a little amuse-bouche, a little palate cleanser.”
He explained, “This is Utah, parts of Utah already seeing snow, the ski resorts there. So, this is coming for us, but in the meantime, we got heat to talk about.”
'Today' hosts Carson Daly, Al Roker, and Hoda Kotb finally make a comeback
Tuesday, September 5, marked the return of ‘Today’ show’s three primary hosts, Kotb, Daly, and Roker, each having enjoyed extended breaks.
After the Labor Day weekend break, they were back on set. On Monday's episode, Jacob Soboroff, Sheinelle Jones, and Tom Llamas filled in.
Dylan Dreyer had taken Al Roker's place for the weather segment. Interestingly, Roker was also back after his short three-day holiday.
In addition, Carson Daly, who had been away for about a month, returned to the group. While it was unknown where he was during the hiatus, his impending hosting position on 'The Voice', which will begin this month, might provide some information.
During their absence, the show was efficiently conducted by guest hosts like Jones, Soboroff, Dreyer, Peter Alexander, Tom, Kristen Welker, and others.
The core group, meanwhile, had made the most of their summer by taking trips and vacations.
