NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ host Hoda Kotb recently revealed co-host Savannah Guthrie’s whereabouts on-air after Guthrie’s mysterious absence from the morning show.

During the Thursday, August 17 broadcast of 'Today', Kotb updated NBC show viewers about the beloved Guthrie’s absence, admitting that she’s been feeling 'under the weather.'

Guthrie has reportedly been absent from the 'Today' Show for the past couple of days. However, she hasn't disclosed her whereabouts or when she will return to the show.

Meanwhile, co-host Sheinelle Jones is filling in for Carson Daly on the 'PopStart' segment as Daly is also currently not appearing on the show.

Is Savannah Guthrie OK?

In a recent episode of the 'Today' Show, Hoda Kotb addressed the absence of her co-host, Savannah Guthrie. Kotb revealed that the 51-year-old Guthrie is taking some time off from the show due to not feeling well.

Kotb mentioned that Guthrie was feeling 'under the weather' and indicated that Guthrie is expected to return by Friday.

During Guthrie's absence, Craig Melvin stepped in to join Kotb, and the two discussed the record-breaking sales of the 'Barbie' movie.

While Kotb didn't provide specific details about Guthrie's situation, it's worth noting that Guthrie was also missing from Wednesday's episode.

Melvin replaced Guthrie on both days as ‘Today’ Show anchors have experienced a series of intermittent absences, creating a dynamic of changing faces on the show.

Melvin’s recent vacation saw Sheinelle Jones stepping in to cover his absence during that period.

Hoda Kotb’s 59th birthday

Last week, ‘Today’ host Hoda Kotb had an unforgettable birthday as she took an entire week off from the morning show to spend quality time with her family on the occasion of her 59th birthday.

However, she didn’t miss celebrating her birthday with her co-stars from ‘Today’ Show as she had a Facetime with Jenna Bush Hager on-air.

On August 9th, Hager insisted on video calling Kotb live and also revealed that she bought dinner for Kotb and her family at a restaurant before her big night. However, Kotb left without having the dessert.

After Kotb picked up the Facetime call, she showcased her happy moments surrounded by family at home.

Kotb was wearing her wireless headphones and panned her phone camera to show her mom, sister-in-law, brother, and daughters, Haley and Hope. She also let in on her birthday decorations to ‘Today’ viewers.

Kotb brought up Hager’s surprise dinner and joked, “We had the best dinner on you, sorry about the bill, take out a loan! It was awesome!”
