NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ meteorologist Al Roker has again involved himself in a playful on-air rant with co-host Joe Fryer. Roker brutally mocked Fryer before backtracking his remark.

On Tuesday, August 8 ‘Today’ broadcast, Roker took a dig at Fryer's outfit during the live show. Fryer was hosting the segment alongside co-hosts Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin, Jacob Soboroff, and Roker.

Al Roker takes a jab at Joe Fryer

During a recent ‘Today’ episode, Jones, Roker, Soboroff, and Melvin sat at the desk to discuss a returning trend. The iconic pumpkin-spice flavor is coming out earlier this year, presumably by the end of August.

Many top brands such as Krispy Kreme, 7/11, and more have already had their products out. The segment continued as Roker got candid about his dislike of pumpkin spice.

Towards the end of the segment, Roker got furious that the fall season was being rushed and Soboroff playfully joked that it wasn’t Fyrer’s fault.

Roker screamed adding, “I know! Joe is ushering in Christmas with the ugly sweater!” Despite the jab, Fryer maintained his composure and burst into laughter, showing he could handle the playful jab.

Jones tried to turn off the remark as she said, “I actually like that sweater.” Roker instantly chimes in to backtrack his remark, “It is a nice sweater.”

A minute later, Roker gave extra points to Fryer’s woolen tie which he paired with the sweater. The segment continued as the 68-year-old went on to report the weather.

Al Roker returns to 'Today' after long weekend break

Roker’s playful jab came in when he returned to ‘Today’ after spending a long three-day weekend.

Roker revealed his big celebrations about his new award-winning documentary, ‘Gaining Ground The Fight For Black Land’ which was featured at Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival.

He and his wife, Deborah Roberts took to their Instagram to share the news and gushed over their time at Martha’s Vineyard in a bunch of snaps.

Roker’s absence on Monday was replaced by Dylan Dreyer who led the weather reporting segment. Dreyer also returned after taking a long hiatus as she enjoyed a family vacation in Italy.

On Monday, Melvin who filled in for Hoda Kotb introduced Dreyer to the viewers, “Dylan is in for Al this morning. So, the heat's back, the storms are back”. The recently turned 42-year-old Dreyer gave the weather report in a blue dress pants and white blouse attire.
