NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘TodayAl Roker has reportedly defended an NBC crew member after co-host Dylan Dreyer called out for a lack of help following her bumpy fall incident on Monday.

The 'Today' journalist playfully teased the show’s producer for not providing enough assistance when she fell while practicing a dog trick with Elsa.

This all went down on Monday when the 'Today' hosts welcomed animal trainer Mark Forbes, who talked about how they trained dogs for the upcoming movie 'Strays'.

While Dreyer attempted to catch Elsa, she stumbled and hit the floor alongside Elsa. The incident was captured by Roker, who shared the video on his Instagram; however, he assured fans that both were fine and weren't hurt.

‘Today’ Al Roker’s heroic defense

After Dreyer’s nasty fall on Monday, Sheinelle Jones, Roker, and Dreyer herself discussed the incident on Tuesday, August 15.

The hosts played a video that featured Dreyer standing at the end of a red carpet with Elsa on the other side. As she stretched her arms out, Elsa ran towards her and jumped into Dreyer’s arms.

However, Dreyer lost her balance and fell with Elsa in her arms. The snippet of Dreyer falling was played several times on the ‘Today’ show as the hosts laughed about it and discussed what had happened.

Dreyer suddenly adds that there was no one to help her. She said while laughing, "Six people later, Yosef showed up."

Jones quips, “In Yosef’s defense, it was a quiet fall.” Dreyer confidently stated, "I'm a graceful faller. I'm just thankful for the long dress.”

Amid the banter, Roker chimed in about the situation, jesting, "See, Yosef, I was trying to defend you, but she wanted you to take the fall.”

Initially, fans had directed their attention towards the show's stage manager, questioning their actions in the video Roker shared.

Addressing the concern, Roker took the initiative to reassure everyone that both Dreyer and Elsa, the canine performer, were fine.

‘Today’ Dylan Dreyer’s messy office

In a candid moment, Dreyer unintentionally unveiled her cluttered office space, where clothes and items were strewn about, in a recent photo.

The ‘Today’ meteorologist shared a snapshot on Instagram featuring her six-year-old son, Calvin, during his visit to her workplace. In the picture, Calvin sported a joyful grin while standing in her Studio 1A office. The photo was taken by Dreyer herself as she was captured in a mirror's reflection.

Beyond showcasing her son's enthusiasm, the photo inadvertently revealed her office's disorder. In the background, a blend of clothing, shopping bags, books, and assorted items were scattered on her desk and floor.

Although the disorder was evident, Dreyer’s focus in the caption remained on her son, writing, "Work buddy!!" The news anchor recently resumed her ‘Today’ duties following a vacation with her family to Italy.
