'Titans' Season 2 Episode 2 may have introduced Starfire's evil sister Blackfire who is probably on earth to kill Raven

In the comics, Blackfire is an extremely powerful villain with all of Starfire's abilities and none of her moral convictions. Kory was sent to Earth to kill Rachel and though she chose to abandon that mission, there's a pretty good chance that her sister may have been sent to finish the job

Fans of DC Universe's 'Titans' have been hoping to see the villainous Komand'r/Blackfire join the series for a long time now and the second episode of season 2 may have just answered those prayers. Though she's a very popular character, if Blackfire has truly come to 'Titans' it could mean some serious trouble for our heroes, especially her sister Koriand'r/Starfire (Anna Diop).

In the episode, we see Kory and Donna Troy (Conor Leslie) in Chicago trying to track down a rogue metahuman named Shimmer (Hanneke Talbot), based on a tip from none other than Roy Harper, better known as Speedy, sidekick to the Green Arrow. There's some really fun chemistry between the two ladies and seeing them work together to take down Shimmer was a total treat for the fans.

Unfortunately, their partnership is brought to an abrupt end when Kory is seemingly kidnapped in the final scenes of the episode by a visitor from her homeworld Tamaran, played by Robbie Jones. After Kory is incapacitated by the alien stranger using a taser-like device, a woman who looks very similar to her is seen walking past Donna.

Even though her partner calls out to her, "Kory" doesn't seem to recognize Donna, suggesting some sort of mischief is afoot. While it is possible that this is just a brainwashed or mind-controlled Kory, the camera doesn't give us a clear shot of her face, which means there's a chance she may have been replaced by her evil older sister.

Hynden Walch voices both Starfire and Blackfire in the Teen Titans animated series (IMDb)

In the comics, Blackfire is an extremely powerful villain with all of Starfire's abilities and none of her moral convictions. She shows no regard for human life or love for her sibling and revels in destruction. Kory was initially sent to Earth to kill Rachel Roth/Raven (Teagan Croft) and though she chose to abandon that mission, there's a pretty good chance the Tamaraneans may have decided to send her big bad sister to finish the job.

Rumors of Blackfire's introduction this season were first sparked when Canadian actress Oluniké Adeliyi shared a poster for the second season on her personal Instagram account back in August, with a caption saying she feels "blessed and honored" to be a part of the show and can't wait for people to see it.

Though Adeliyi's role in the series is yet to be confirmed officially, the timing is right for Blackfire's introduction, especially since this season seems to be heavily focusing on the family dynamics of the characters. We don't know for sure if the woman we saw in the episode really is Blackfire but we'll probably find out once the next episode of 'Titans' hits the screens.

The third episode of 'Titans' Season 2, titled 'Ghosts', will be airing on DC Universe September 20.
