‘Time For You To Come Home For Christmas’: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all else about Blake Shelton’s Hallmark film sequel

Blake Shelton’s single from 2012, ‘Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas’ held us spellbound, so did his self-produced Hallmark movie of the same name which released last year. With the ever-increasing spirit of Christmas, the musician is returning as a producer for the second time with a sequel to his film! Hallmark Movies and Mystery’s upcoming holiday film titled ‘Time for You to Come Home for Christmas’, is a part of the network’s ‘Miracles of Christmas’ campaign. The latter part of Shelton’s production is already intriguing us with its new cast, plot and of course, some fresh tunes!

You can watch ‘Time for You to Come Home for Christmas’ on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries at 9 pm on December 6.

Plot 

‘Time for You to Come Home for Christmas’ deals with two individuals who run into each other en route to the same city, trying to figure out their respective lives. While the recently widowed Katherine along with her son is returning to her hometown for Christmas, Jack is on his way to Virginia for his own reasons to move to the city. However, as the story progresses, Katherine and Jack’s common interest in volunteering to raise money for the military families draws them closer. The rest of the film revolves around their budding relationship and tells us if their journey together turns into a Christmas miracle.

Daytime Emmy Award nominee Alison Sweeney has been roped to play the lead Katherine in ‘Time for You to Come Home for Christmas’. She gained immense popularity for her portrayal of Samantha Brady in NBC’s Days of Our Lives’. Aside from acting, she served as the host for ‘The Biggest Loser’. She has also featured in Hallmark’s ‘Chronicle Mysteries’ series.

Luke Bryant is popular for essaying Nathan Wuornos in Syfy TV’s Haven. He will be seen as Jack in ‘Time for You to Come Home for Christmas’, playing the lead opposite Sweeney. Some of his notable work in films include ‘The Girl King’, ‘Walk to Vegas’ and ‘Beauty & the Beast’, ‘Shoot the Messenger’ ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’ and ‘CSI’ in television. The actor previously collaborated with Hallmark for two of the channel’s original television films; ‘Tulips in Spring’ and ‘Summer Love’.
